The most fiberous things, such as raw vegetables and cooked leafy greens will make you crap within hours. You can also drink green tea, it speeds up the metabolism. In addition, you could always go for a walk, that does too. Oats, oat bran are some others. Don't listen to the "wheat bread" people, that is still constipating because it is sugary, floury, and salty and does not have as much fiber as lets say a celery stalk. Make sure you drink plenty of water, as this will make your crap hard too.

Let's worry more about drinking adequate amount of liquids everyday. This is a sure-fire way to help loosen your stool. Be sure to eat plenty of foods high in fiber such as:leafy green vegetables, nuts, whole-grain breads, apricots, etc. If you're already taking something over-the-counter for constipation, limit the high-fiber foods; as this will worsen the problem. Get a hemorrhoid cream if you haven't already because they're bound to happen with frequent constipation.

Anything with a lot of fiber. Wheat products. Fruits, berries, nuts. Raisins and dried plums (prunes) are also good choices. Also raw (not pasteurized) honey is an excellent natural laxative.
