He talks about a 6 meal a day eating plan. Three meals and three snacks. Seriously look through this site. He will explain portion sizes in a way that is easy to remember and there are great tips and exercises on the site too. I actually have his book which you can buy at any book store. I highly recommend it. Good luck.

I think you should be eating a bit of everything throughout the day. and each meal should not go past 300 calories. An apple is definitely not a meal. Try having a small fruit salad so you get nutrients and benefits from all kinds of fruit. Make sure you get your carbs, protein, fruits, veggies, fiber, and stay away from high in fat and sugar foods. Drink lots of water to flush out excess fat that sticks to your cells and toxins that may slow down your metabolism and cause constipation. =) It sure worked for me. I lost 10 pounds and kept them off after 4 weeks. It may take a little longer than some diets, but at least I didn't gain the 10 pounds back!

What we mean when we say 5-6 meals a day is this: For breakfast eat something good for you, say for instance oatmeal, or some good cold cereal (not the sugary kind) with some fruit. For lunch eat a nice sandwich with whole wheat bread with all the fixings, but low fat mayo, subway, or if you have to eat fast food get a grilled chicken sandwich. For dinner have again, something healthy. The American Heart Association has a great online cookbook and you can get a look at what I mean by healthy meals by going to your search engine and typing in "delicious decisions" this is the cookbook.
The other "meals" are this: in between breakfast and lunch have a healthy snack such as fruit, yogurt with fruit, or plain flavored yogurt, nature valley has some great breakfast bars that I like to have handy. In between lunch and dinner have another small snack, maybe some low fat crackers and another piece of fruit. The reason for these small snacks is simple: if you eat these then you're not starving by dinner or lunch and you don't over eat. Be sure to watch your portions at night, as these are the worst times to over eat, and try to not eat late.

My uncle did "Body For Life" and it worked well for him. Wiht that program you eat 5-6 times a day. For 2 or 3 of the meals you drink a meal drink )like Slim Fast). Or at least that is what he said.

Go for 300 calories, and make sure it's a good mix of protein, fat and carbs (40%carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein). I like boiled eggs and some no sugar oatmeal for breakfast, tuna and apple for snack, ect. some protein and carb combo.
