This guy that i'm dating use to like my friend like 5 years ago and now he is interested in me, and I really like him. Me and the girl don't really talk that much no more, but we were really good friends back when he wanted to date her. They were never really in a relationship but they talked on the phone a lot and hung out with each other a couple of times. Is it wrong?

I don't believe that is wrong at all. He liked your friend 5 years ago so that was quite awhile ago and it's especially not wrong if you aren't even friends with that girl anymore. If he is interested in you and you two have alot in common then continue with it. You're not doing anything wrong.

if they didnt date and its been around 5 years and you dont hang much anymore you should be fine. people grow up. you dont have to like the same person forever.

No, if you like him, go for him. It doesn't sound like the other friend would even know about it anyway.
