My fav wine or should I say grape is temprinillo. Used in the Rioja area of Spain, Rioja is a municipality of Almería province, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. My favourite is Muga which is 80% Temprinillo and 20% Grenache. Its fruity with plenty of body.
My Fav sparkling wine is Nyetimber 1998 - the best sparkling wine in the world and that includes Champagne.

California old vine Zin. The aroma of the first glass always blows me away. It's like a wood fire is burning inside your glass. The first sip is no less incredible.
A close second is most Pinot Noir from Oregon. Amazing how such a fussy grape that is so hard to grow and cultivate can produce such a fine red wine. Great with lamb chops.
Curious, you didn't say what your favorite was...

At the moment a South african one called Roodeberg. Very nice red wine. However I try and taste a lot of different wines so my favourites tend to change from time to time and from whatever I feel like. But my main preference is red wines

Any Ernest & Julio Gallo wine, preferably red ... Ruby Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon or maybe a Rose - Zinfandel or California White Grenache ... all distinct, fruity or full bodied wines. Think I'll have one now!

I can only generalise, but a dry, full bodied Australian red does it for me. One full of berry fruit flavours, perhaps slightly peppery. I've been trying a good few reds from the Villany region of Hungary over the last year or so and I have to say they are pdg. Try the link below for some reading

Champagne.. try Billecart-Salmon for a start. Why? Because champagne is the most consistently good wine off the shelf. Rarely corked nor oxidised.

It depends when. It depends on my mood.
Normally I like a good red Bordeaux or Medoc; just to relax with.
Bit heavy in summer heat though, so then I like a cold Chablis.
Best of all though is real champagne. A good bottle of that makes me giggle and act half my age. Just love those dry bubbles!
I don't like anything sweet, and it has to have a kick to it too.
