What is it about girls feet that guys like?

For starters, they're connected to girls' legs. And we know what girls' legs are connected to...

Second, there's a pleasing sort of symmetry in a pretty foot; just as the thigh tapers to the knee and the calf tapers to the ankle, the foot tapers down to the toes. I love the series of curves from waist to hip to knee to ankle to foot, the whole grand sweep that silently breathes, this is Woman.

And toes are inherently cute -- toes are to fingers like kittens are to cats: smaller, more helpless, with larger "heads" (the last joint) in proportion to their overall size. I admit I just this instant thought of that, but it makes sense; humans are programmed to respond to things with the big head/small body proportions of human babies, and toes look like fingers but with "baby" proportions. Never thought of that before...

And finally, from my own perspective, I have learned to associate feet with sexuality because giving my wife a footrub makes her relaxed and happy, and when she is relaxed and happy I'm more likely to get lucky. Same thing with backrubs. So now, a really sexy pair of feet and a really sexy pair of shoulders can set me tingling because I've associated them with the promise of sexual gratification over the past thirty years or so. (Better than the vacuum cleaner... :-)

So I guess I'm at the shallow end of the foot fetish spectrum. Yes, my wife's feet turn me on, but so do her legs, bottom, waist, hips, breasts, shoulders, arms, eyes, lips, the nape of her neck, the hollow under her ears, and most of all, her intelligence. (When I mentioned this to her some years ago, I ended up with, "I don't think there's much on a woman's body that DOESN'T turn me on." After a few seconds of looking thoughtful, she answered dryly, "Elbows. I've never heard you say, 'Wow, check out the elbows on THAT babe.'")

I'm aware that there are guys who like to be trampled, or to be humiliated, by women's feet. Never did anything for me; not that there's anything wrong with it, it just doesn't turn me on. I like petting my wife's feet, I like it when we're watching movies on the couch and she puts them in my lap, I like painting her toenails wild and exotic colors in the summer months.

Maybe my favorite thing about my wife's feet: sometimes in the middle of the night, if I wake up and curl up next to her to go back to sleep, she'll reach back and stroke me with her feet, while her breathing says she's still fast asleep. I just think that's the sweetest thing there is -- that she loves me so much that she plays footsie with me in her sleep.

And in the end, I think that points to what I like best -- feet imply a kind of intimacy that hands, arms, and yes, elbows don't. Don't believe me? The next time you're talking to a guy you're friends with (I'm assuming you're female), occasionally pat him on the shoulder with your hand -- just a nice, friendly gesture. Then the next day, slip your foot out of your shoe and while you're talking to him, stroke him on the calf and ankle with your toes and arch. What's the difference between these two gestures? What do you think his reaction will be? What do you think he'll think your intention is for each of these gestures?

THAT is what guys like about girls' feet.

They are sensitive and usually covered up. I have a size 13 foot so when I see a girl's foot all with nail polish and everything I'm always like "Aww, how cute!"

You can tell how a woman keeps herself by how well she keeps her feet, just like her hair and teeth.
