Depends on when you last smoked before you see the doctor. If in the last 24 hours, then yes, he will probably be able to smell it on you. It will be coming up from your lungs for at least a day--no matter how well you think you've covered it up. More than 24 hours and he won't be able to tell.
If you smoke a pack over the course of 2-3 weeks, then why smoke?

If you have a standard blood and urine test, he can tell. However, as his patient, he cant tell your parents. Thats part of his oath, and responsibility to you.
More importantly why are you still smoking? Your habit of 1-2 cigs a day is easy to quit after only a few months of smoking. In the long run, it will never be easier than now. If you dont, you can look forward to a life outdoors, thousands of dollars gone, and limited job opportunities. (Courts have ruled that employers can require non smokers, and fire smokers, whether they smoke at work or not).
Quit. And remember it isnt cool, and it isnt "adult". After all how many 30 year olds do you know that say, gee... I think Ill start smoking now.

Don't smoke for a couple of days beforehand. Not to get on a pedestal, but I started smoking when I was 13, and am STILL trying to quit. If you only go through a pack in 2-3 weeks, quit before it becomes a pack or two a day.

yea the doc can tell by your stinky breath, you blood results, urine test, what ever. Why are you smoking in the first place ? you want to look cool, you will be looking very cool when you are gasping for a breath, and coughing up yukkie sputum. Now you will be smoking 2-3 packs per week but soon enough you'll be smoking 2-3 packs per day. you are STUPID.

It is really hard to know whether he can tell or not. It is really difficult to conceal smoking, except that you don't smoke a whole lot. If your clothes are clean and you have not smoked before you get there, he probably won't know...
And with that said, I stongly encourage you to be honest with your doctor about it. Say "If I told you, would you have to let my parents know?" and that will let you know if you can confide in him. Otherwise don;t let him know. After you turn 18, they will not be able to tell anyone, and I stongly suggest you tell the truth. Sometimes It affects what kinds of meds the doc might use to treat you.

I don't think so. Only if their looking for it. Now your dentist might be able to tell. Tobacco stains your teeth. If your only smoking 1 pack every 2 to 3 weeks. STOP NOW. I wish I had. It cost a fortune and not to mention how bad it is for your health. You'll thank me later. I wish I had someone to thank. Well, time for a smoke break. Gotta run.

people who smoke are easily identified by the smell in the clothing even if smoking outdoors. It also gets into your hair.
Please stop now while you can.. it took me many years to kick the habit I started at 13 and i spent thousands on something I could do without.
Smoking does not make you look cool ar more popular. It is a lifetime sentence if you continue.

Yes it can be detected easily because the smell gets in your skin and on your breath even when you haven't smoked that day also you get cigarette marks on your fingers that hold the cigarettes
