lol... no, you CANNOT buy trek at wal mart. the main difference in cannondale vs. trek bikes is that cannondale bicycles pride themselves in being "made in the usa". the frames are all built here as opposed to trek where frames come from over seas but are assembled in the usa. a cannondale will be more costly, but will last a lifetime.

Our Trek T-100 tandem is 19 years old. We have well over 20,000 miles on it. We've hauled it on the car from Indiana to Florida, to Branson, to Myrtle Beach and all over central Indiana. We have the original chains on it. In fact all we've replaced on it has been our gear shifter (once), the shift cables (once), tires and the mileage computer which is why we only are sure it is at least 20,000 but probably several more. Still riding it 5 - 10 miles on warm days. Cannondale may be great but it was 3.5 times the price of this Trek in 1995. Can't get it at Wal-Mart but worth traveling for a Trek. Our friends bought an off brand that lasted three rides before it broke down and they ended up selling it for very little. Love our TREK. Be aware that Tandems typically stick out a bit beyond each side of our Chrysler mini-van.

The Cannondales are nice. The Trek would be okay, but the Cannondale is still better. The Santanas used to be very nice also.

I have a Cannondale t800. I bought it 5 years ago and I love it. It has around 7500 miles on it. The frame is hand made. Until I can afford a Serotta, a locally owned custom maker, I will stick with my Cannondale

I wouldn't recommend ANY Raleigh bikes at all... and since they own Diamondback, I don't recommend those either.

Treks are very good, but I have a few friends who have had excellent experience with their Cannondale tandems... I also know that Santana is a very good tandem manufacturer, depends on your budget.

Cannondale is the superior bike by far! You can buy the other two at Walmart.

in my view, i admire famous individual Trek yet think of famous individual Wars is basically respectable. famous individual Wars is an action packed, fantasy, blockbuster trilogy. famous individual Trek is an in-intensity technology fiction franchise, and it in lots of cases has a huge concentration on the philosophy of area return and forth, first touch, and so on. different then an area/destiny putting, they're relatively no longer something alike. It basically relies upon on what you elect (action-fantasy or technology-fiction and philosophy).
