It is dark brown, in beautiful condition, and about 9 inches long. I know that there is an American site - Hairwork.com that deals with buying and selling hair, but wondered if any one knows of a UK site. Thanks

I've heard that hair has to be 12 inches long for donation. But try anyway. Your local Cancer Society will have information on how you can donate it to a person in need.

I don't know about ebay. Can you even sell your own hair there???

Apparently you can sell it on ebay. I thought it'd be considered a human body part like teeth or nails, but apparently not.

You won't get much for 9" of hair, although if it's your daughters and is extremely healthy and never been dyed or processed who knows. The women who get big bucks usually have around 20". Consider donating it to locks of love instead.

Reassure her that hair grows back, she's nevertheless appealing, and which you will do in spite of you could to cover it.

Don't sell it, give it to Locks of Love. You can contact them through a hair salon. Why sell it when you can do a good deed?

Why would you want to sell something so personal? I'm sure if my daughter had given me her pony tail I wouldn't be selling it.

Unless it happens to belong to someone incredibly famous, it is highly unlikely anyone would want to part with significant money for a bit of hair.
