Because one wrong fall, one bad illness, one major accident and you are done. Finished. Bankrupt. Financially, everything you had is gone, house, car, cash----all of it. The hospitals will sue you for the money and seize everything you have. You can die and your family will lose everything paying your medical bills. It happens every day.
Just one emergency hospital visit will put you back a few thousand. if you don't have insurance, which is not easy to get or to afford, you are in for some long term headaches. I have been to court and seen hospitals sue somebody's family member for $1000.00 hospital bill when the person died!
There are pills that cost $12 for one! And you need them to stay alive. There are people who have to starve so they can pay for their medicine. A lot of seniors have this problem.
I am not exaggerating.

There are a whole lot of people that make too much money to get government assistance but not enough money to buy insurance. One unexpected emergency room visit will cause them to go bankrupt or even possibly be homeless. It happens all the time. That is why I am concerned about healthcare in America.

Because, in the united states a visit to the emergency room cost between $100 and $1000 dollars even if they find nothing wrong with you. If they find something wrong with you and require an overnight stay then you're going into the $5000 dollar range. Then there's the cost of medication which usually varies in the $20 to $300 dollar range.

1. Costs keep going up much faster than inflation.
2. Insurance companies increasingly deny coverage for procedures recommended by doctors.
3. Millions of Americans are not covered by any healthcare plan, so we all have to pay for them through taxes.
4. Individuals cannot purchase reasonable coverage, except at exorbitant rates.

Because we no longer see the real value of nature, and so many Americans think that everyone should live out their lives....
Nature supplies us with the perfect system, if you don't survive the disease you don't survive.....if you over indulge and don't take care of the body you die....and the gene pool remains strong and potent.....no weak links.
America is obsessed with health care due to the fact that more of us are fat, lazy, and terrified of death.
A person with a disease that will never get better should be allowed to die quickly rather than allowing a medical community to prolong life and stress an already inadequate system further..
That means if you screw your self up and develope something we should let you go period..Oh, and that goes for me and mine too..always. No sympathy for the weak, if you made yourself that way.

Because the cost of trying to stay health is freakin' fortune and working class folks shouldn't have to go in the poor house due to a visit to the doctor or the pharmacist!

It's very very very expensive and health insurance is just as expensive. Some of them will make you wait until you die before approving an expensive procedure.
