To my knowledge there are two interisland airlines Aloha(800 367 5250) and Hawaiian(800 367 5250) By calling the toll free numbers your other questions will be answered.

Hawaiian Airlines is the best airline in the nation for customer service according to the DOT.
They also have a fleet of new aircraft and great schedules. The lowest Hawaiian Airfare can only be found on the official website. If you go anywhere else to purchase a ticket on Hawaiian, you will be paying more.
You can also sometimes get discounts just by signing up to the frequent flier program.

Any one of four inter island air carriers: Aloha Air, Hawaiian Air, Go Air, or Island Air. However, this just in from Pacific Business News (http://www.bizjournals.com/pacific/stories/):
The interisland airline Go! reposted its $29 one-way fares last week and announced over the weekend it was extending the offer through Monday night.
Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA), operator of go!, said it was extending the offer "just for the heck of it."
The initial offer, which was matched by Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines, was for selected seats on selected flights with several blackout periods around the holidays of November and December.
"Once again we've received an amazing response to our fare sale," said Joe Bock, chief marketing officer for go!
Last week Mesa Air Group reported that go!'s load factor had fallen to about three quarters full in August.
Interisland air capacity is up significantly -- more than 10 percent -- from the same time last year, due to three factors: (1) a substantial expansion of Island Air, whose smaller aircraft now fly more routes than either Hawaiian or Aloha as they serve routes most of which are not served by the larger carriers; (2) the launch of go! with frequent service between Honolulu and the four major interisland destinations of Lihue, Kahului, Kona and Hilo; and (3) an expansion of Hawaiian and Aloha service to those same destinations in an effort to prevent go! from wresting market share from the legacy carriers.

House to the State Capitol, Honolulu could be the vivid epicentre of Hawaii and a town worth visit, as you will see with hotelbye . In Honolulu you will discover every thing from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. House to nearly all Oahu's citizenry, the sprawling town of Honolulu spreads through the south-eastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki. Pearl Harbor is among Honolulu's biggest tourist attractions. Though it is house to the Navy's Pacific Fleet, guests may have a tour to see the USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Missouri.

used to be lots of airlines but they went out of business. so now I think there's only aloha or hawaiian
but go through "cheap tickets" they were what I always used for a little bit cheaper price.
and flights can but don't necessarily sell out so I say earlier the better and the seating is first come first served.

I did book my inter island flights 3 days ago and it cost me $29.00 plus taxes and some fees. Anyway, it cost me a $69.60 roundtrip. It was a good value at that time. Google go airlines and it will direct you to that airline site. Goodluck!
