I just got braids in my hair this past Friday, & I paid $30 for them, but they itch so bad. Would I be a fool to take the braids out & wash my hair?

I would just take them out, it isn't worth itching to death. If you can wash your hair with the braids in then I guess that would work. But, I think it would look frizzy!

Wash your hair with the braids still in! Ask your mom, or best friend, or a sister, to help?

i would leave them in, i had the same problem when i got braids like that. i took them out a week later, and my hair was significantly thinner.. but if they itch that bad then i'd take them out and let your hair (and scalp) rest.

Take them out, you may be allergic to the stuff. It will make your scalp all red, itchy, and crusty if you don't take care of it sooner than later. 30 dollars is nothing compared to all the other money you could end up using to treat the problems that may arise.

Being as you spent money getting them done if I were you I would buy some oil sheen and spray it on the scalp before I took them out. That should loosen your scalp and help a lot. If not then yes I would remove them.
