I'm afraid of them. If I'm slow about feeding, they bang the bowls around the kitchen. Last night the cat scratched me when I disciplined the dog for jumping at the cat. The dog is always telling me what to do, when to take him out, and what kind of food I must buy (woofs at commericals). The cat is just disrespectful.

Buy a pet mouse. That always seems to work on TV.

Sounds like normal behavior to me. Your dog needs to know you are boss so set up regular times for him to go out. Train him.

Cats are always aloof. If your cat is doing something you don't like, a spray bottle filled with water is a good correction tool. Clapping your hands and yelling also works in a pinch.

You can make both animals nicer by having fun time. If they don't behave, you don't have to give it to them. Cats like to poke around in paper sacks and boxes. Dogs like to go through the commands they've learned, go for walks, etc.

The cat scratched you because the dog and cat were playing and you interfered. Let them play. The cat can defend himself.

If you are seriously afraid of your animals, find them a different home. Cats and dogs do communicate and they do conspire against humans. They usually remember, though, that you provide the food. As long as you don't abuse them, they'll be your friends.

Okay. Just breathe, you need to take control. I know nothing about cats, as I'm just not a cat person, but your dog...Well first off, your dog doesn't understand commercials. I promise you he doesn't. buy whatever dog food you want, and if he starts banging his bowl, TURN AROUND and don't feed him until he settles down. Dogs are programmed to naturally want to please you. You don't have to listen to what your dog tells you to do, it must be the other way around. repeat after me, "I am the alpha", "I am the alpha", since i know nothing about training cats, i left you a link below that might help

My name is Rebecca and I am typing this of my own free will.

You are to cease and desist bad mouthing your gorgeous cat and handsome dog. You belong to them not the other way around. How dare you bad mouth such loving creatures who simply try and make sure you take proper care of us....ummm I mean them.

They simply want to assure that you take the best care of them.

We.... I mean they know your life would be empty and meaningless with out them.

So go give them both some love and affection.......

And has to the scratch incident...we I mean they were playing. Do not interfere again.

I'd handle them both...the problem seems to be with the cat...I'd solve her quick.

Next time she scracthes, flick her in the nose immediately afterward, or Pimp slap her.

As for the dog, I'd feed him the same crap regardless of how many times he barks...eventually he'll get conditioned to it and shut-up or, whenever he barks, turn off the screen for about 20 seconds and look at him.
He'll know the deal.

Dont get regulated on by your pets!

You need to take good care of them. Make sure they are always fed with plenty of food. Don't let your dog watch T.V., show some discipline. You are the owner. You neeed to sho them who's boss.

I'm sorry, but that is kinda funny. My initial response to your headline question was "Feed them already!" Pets can be like kids, only they have even less understanding of discipline- especially cats. Just be nice to them. :)

Well least you know who wears the pants in the family. Just give them lots of love and attention and food on command. They might end up loving you!

Put them in time out.

Divide and conquer- tell the dog that the cat is talking smack about him and visa versa.
