The vast majority of Mormons, minus a couple of fringe groups that few people have ever even heard of, are quite monogamous. As I understand it, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints banned polygamy over a century ago.

Mainstream mormons no longer practice polygamy, at least not in this life, although I understand they are still expected to do so in the afterlife.
Members of breakaway mormon polygamous sects mostly live on welfare, with the extra wives claiming to be one parent families. Though of course, girls are married off young and boys are often thrown out of the community as they represent unacceptable competition for wives.

It's not easy, I'm sure. However, most Mormons do not have multiple wives. Only a small group which left the main branch of the religion still practices this.

You need to know that Mormons DO NOT practice polygamy. Anyone who does is excommunicated, or never was a member in the first place.
Polygamists like Warren Jeffs, use welfare scams and other illegal acts to fund their families and to amass the money that they use to run their cults.
Please don't confuse Mormons with the polygamists. We are not the same. I'm a Mormon, and married. My husband has only one wife, me!
For information on what the Mormons really believe please look at the offical websites of the Church:

That is so funny...um, Mormons don't have plural wives, if they did they would be excommunicated from the church. Polygamy was practiced over a hundred years ago and for a very short time, yet people STILL think it is practiced.
I am Mormon, my husband has one wife, that's me. If he had plural wives he would be ex'ed.
I think you and the rest of the people who still believe we practice polygamy are confusing LDS with FLDS. Not the same church, at all.
But thanks for your concern...

, as a Mormon (or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, as is our real name) I would like to tell you that Mormons only have one wife. A long time ago some Mormon's had more than one, but now it is taught that you should only have one (unless your first wife died) Though it is taught that children are a blessing. :) hope this clears it up for you.

We harvest our kids' horns each month when there's a full moon. Then we grind them up into powder to sell on the black market. That stuff is potent for spells and stuff!
