That would make me sad too, but just be patient and love him with sisterly love. Just always be on your guard for whatever is thrown at you.

I'll answer your question from a masculine perspective - do with it what you will.
Boys go through several stages in the journey to manhood.
One of the most important stages happens when the boy is in his late teens. This stage looks like “Screw you dad - you never gave me anything and I don’t bloody need you anymore!”
This is perfectly normal and could last for many years. Most men return to their father afterwards and make amends and become friends with their fathers.
Divorce does alter this somewhat, especially if the father doesn’t have custody of the son. But in terms of your situation I think you’re placing unrealistic expectations on this young man that may be going through some pretty heavy stuff.
Be patient and don’t let your emotions get you to say something you’ll regret later. You have years - decades - to form a tight relationship with your brother.

If your 15 and he's 19 and you just met 4 months ago it sounds like there are some serious issues. You might consider some family counseling.

i also met my half bro at the age of 17, but we didnt have those complications, but i now have a step child and he is awful to my son and to his dad so lets work from there: i feel it is a jelousy issue he used to have his dad all to himself even if he has other siblings its not the same as popin in a new one. my step son was so ood with my son at first and they are 4 years apart, (that makes a dif to havin to hang with the younger kid might hurt the kool points) any way things where great till it became a permanent deal now he tends to have resentment for my son because his dads love and attention is split (not any diff) between them both. he disrespects his dad so much now always popin off but that could also b cause he is hittin his teens. but he doesnt want to play with my kiddo any more unless there is no friends at home to ahng with instead. he also has a bro that is living with his mother not us but they have the same parents buthe is treatin him awful too when he comes to stay with us. we have talked and he has said that es he is jelouse and he cant help it, so it could be that ur bro doesnt want to share his dad or that he is just feelin like if he is seen hangin with someone younger it might not b kool. hope this helps

I've been there and done that. same problem but he's not as rude to me anymore. Try giving him time to sink in the situation or talk to him instead. Initiate the conversation. In a couple years see if he still acts this way.

I know you just met so it's a sticky situation. If it were me I'd just come out and ask him what I had done, if anything? Let him know you care for him and continuing your relationship would mean so much to you. Ask him if there is anything you can do for him and then give him some space. Good Luck and God bless

Love is patient, love isn't selfish, or careless, love is never jealous, love must survive whatever comes...
love does not expect love in return... Love him anyways, and always... :) do not be discouraged... even if he never pays you any kind of attention, right up until his dying day, then at least he knows one person loved him his entire life... and maybe that last day he takes breath here on earth, he will ask for you, and tell you that he indeed loves you too! Love is worth giving!
I will pray for you and your brother!

He might have some issues about you being his sister or not knowing about you, I don't really know the details. But maybe he needs to stop being so ignorant so just tell him how you feel (basically what you wrote is good enough) maybe he'll realize he needs to stop being mean to you and give you some kind of brotherly love instead.

I have the same problem with my brother. Its not you. Its him. He may have issues with the family and just takes it out on you. Its not fair. Just be cool with him and be his sister and show him how a sibling should treat each other. Believe me, My bro is 35 and I am 23, I have been dealing with this my whole life. its a working progress. Kill him with kindness. Hope this helps.

He's probably feeling pressure to be all brotherly, and he doesn't know how so he's completely disconnecting.
Call him up and ask him over for a casual meal, no expectations, and be patient with him. He'll hopefully end up grateful that u'r in his life.
Good luck :)
