I have a good theory.
As a Christian I have placed my life in the hands of God. Terrible things may...and do enter into my life. They could have only entered into my life if they were allowed. God allows trials in my life to humble and mold me into a better person. Every experience is an opportunity for me to learn and grow.
I don't blame God for my trials. I am realizing in my personal spiritual growth to praise God for my trials as well as the blessing at the other end. I am on the upside of a very tumultuous trial of literally 42 months. I have complained and groaned the entire way. I am now understanding that I should have been praising Him. God is more concerned about my character than He is my comfort.
Read Job. It is explained in Job that God allowed satan to torment Job because God knew that Job would not give up hope or loose faith. Pretty good stuff and good question....Thanks!

How dare you bring logic into a discussion about religion. lol Seriously though I was thinking of that the other day. Funny how God is supposed to take credit and praise when things are going good but if there's alot of **** going down "It's all your fault". It definately sounds like a double standard to me.
Also thanking God for all your problems in life just sounds retarded. What somebody should be glad they're poor? Yeah I'm sure Bill Gates cries himself to sleep every night because he doesn't live in squats and doesn't need to dumpster dive for new clothes. I'm sure some kid in St. Jude hospital is glad he has terminal cancer and will never get to grow up.

We thank and praise God because we have life. But If we have a good cushy life, it doesn't necessarily mean that Jehovah gave us that. Satan is the ruler of this world today. In fact the Psalm writer Asaph wrote about his being jealous over wicked people who seemed to be thriving. No, we really can't say that if we are thriving, it's because Jehovah gave us that. It's really not a double standard. We can thank God for giving us life, For beautiful creation, for giving us the ransom payment through Jesus Christ, and for the hope for the future that we will be able to live forever on a Paradise Earth. All thanks go to him for that. But if we run into hard times, it's not God's fault, it's what we inherit for Adam and Eve's not wanting God's intervention.

I would like to tell you why you should praise God, and thank him when things are going good. I don't want you to think I am a religious nut, because I am not.
When my wife died in a car accident, I blamed God. I swore, and I swore at him. She was my life, and how could he do this to me.
After a long period of bitterness toward God, I have come to realize he left ME here, and not her for another reason. My life is now dedicated to taking care of pure breed dogs that someone else neglected, or maimed. I have five now, and they all are inside dogs, and great company to me. I thank God every day for this blessing. What I learned was, is as much as I wanted my wife with me always, and I was suppose to be the first to go, God needed her more!! I miss her every day, but the way life is, she is in a better place.

God doesn't cause the problems in our lives, nor is God our personal "I want" ATM. God is always with us, regardless of whether we feel overwhelmed with problems, or when life just seems to be sailing along for us.
I thank God every day for His grace and for the things we tend to take for granted. I also know that God is always there to help me through difficult times. More than anything though, I take comfort in the fact that God's word tells us that He will never leave us, nor forsake us.
To me, blaming God would be counterproductive - everything in life happens for a reason. So many things happen in life that we just don't understand. But, blaming God doesn't help anything.

Why can't you blame God for problems in your life? This life is God's plan for us, so of course the trials and problems we face within it are ultimately God's doing. Are trials a bad thing?
Does a weightlifter consider his weights to be a bad thing? Or a tool to make him stronger...?

You're supposed to praise God when things go good because he allows you to feel that you succed as well as fail instead of running your life.

Where do you come up with these stuff?
My take on this is God is neither to be blamed nor praised for our good and bad luck, we are responsible for our own actions be it good or bad.
Karma applies to each and everyone of us like it or not.

Why would anyone want to blame God for problems in their life?
Thank God for the problems in your life so you can learn and grow from them. That's how knowledge and wisdom comes.
And if I want to thank and praise God for the good things in my life, I will do so. I don't need someone with crippled logic trying to tell me not to.
A relationship with God isn't just asking to receive, it's giving thanks and praise to our Creator and worshipping Him for His greatness.
Everything was created by Him and for Him, that includes you.
