I have no friends. I lost my girl. i don't like social interaction anymore. I have episodes of depression but most people don't accept that as a real condition. They just think I'm lazy or wierd or a loser. Some even blame my race(white) I live in a Hispanic community. I am fed up and want to live in peace by myself. i can take care of myself. I love the peace of nature. I worked on fishing boats years back. Would this be a stupid move? It is hardly impulsive. I'm only 26 but I still feel this way.

If you think you'd be happier living in solitude, then you can, of course, do so. It's your call. If you really didn't like social interactions anymore, then you won't be depressed by isolating yourself.

Yet it seems you really do desire meaningful interactions with people, but are just discouraged by past relationships. Like you said, you're only 26; You can't have met many kinds of people to reject people entirely. You may want to keep trying to go out there and meet people. Chances are, some of those you meet won't push you away or reject you (in the many different and subtle ways that they can). And it doesn't matter if you don't get along with some people, that's completely normal.

It will be an effort on your part, definitely. If you need help, there are classes or therapies that teach social skills and help people deal with social anxiety. Whatever path you choose, I hope you'll be happy.

The only way you will get over it, is to let yourself get out there. The only reason you don't have friends is because your lack of social interaction. If people think you are lazy or weird, prove them wrong instead of letting people walk all over you. Living in 'solitude' will only cause your depression to become worse, and it won't fix anything. If you don't like your community move, maybe change will do you some good. Don't give up on yourself, you're too young!

Hey, guy, I know this sucks...totally been there. If you feel like taking some time out away from people, do that. I wouldn't count people out for the rest of your life though. You gotta get back in the game of life...people will always let you down in some way, but last I checked NO ONE is perfect. Maybe you had the wrong type of friends. Thought about that? Making friends at our age is more difficult than when we were kids, but its not impossible.

I see nothing wrong with living in solitude. It's called being a hermit.

Sometimes our hurt is so deep that there really is no other way than to just withdraw from everyone and everything until, and if, you are ready to come back.

Live in peace brother.

awww, you'll get more friends and a new girl. move out of your neighborhood, make some changes. you don't want to be a hermit, you're to young to give up now. but i do understand the need to get away from people. if it's that bad move to a smaller town or something before leaving society all together. good luck and do what makes you happy.

When was the last time you visited a church? You would be so much happier - surrounded by people of God who truly care about you! Find a Spirit-filled church and visit - listen to the minister and realize that the God who created you loves you very much and cares about you! God bless!
