Has your dog been "fixed"? Sometimes young male dogs will do this to male dogs who have been "fixed" as they have less male scent. Or your dog may be a panzy and the other dog may dig him. Has the other dog called your dog since this happened? If not, I would not worry too much as it was probably a "one time" thing. Either way, perhaps a check-up would be in order to insure that no STD's have been passed along.

It has alot to do with the humping dogs disposition. If he wasn't showing dominance in any other way than just the humping, then it was probably pent up sexual energy. If he was showing aggressive behavior in other ways, then he was trying to assert dominance.

Your dog will be fine though ;)

It was an act of dominance, and threatening to your dog..This humping dog is potentially aggressive, so stay away from him..If your dog had not tolerated it, there would likely have been a fight..so just say away from that dog..

As someone else said...your dog basically allowed the other dog to hump him because he is the less dominant one. Also could simply be that your dog is gay. Seriously.

I am sorry (person with horrible answers to you and I) >getimgang< is an C O C ( left out last letter for a reason)sucker! But it is normal for dogs to act out of style. He doesn't need to be around that other dog that is for sure.

Dogs often get repressed sexual urges and will hump the first thing they find usually legs are good for this too. It's not necessarily out of homosexuality but rather the dog is releasing pent up sexual energy.

It sounds like the other dog assertted his dominance over your dog. It was to let your dog know that he is in charge.

I hope yours isn't a Yorkshire terrier and the other dog was a Great Dane, then no wonder he's traumatised.

It is a sign of dominence. It can also become an agressive act if you are not careful.
