Do you really need someone on yahoo to answer that question for you. You marry the one you love. You would be an idiot to marry someone that your parents choose for you.

well, that totally depends on how you feel about the two people you are choosing to marry! i always think you shoud go with your gut instinct!is the man your parents have chosen the person you imagin of spending your whole life with?or is it the person you have spent a few years with getting to know them but, you have also got to thnk about the concequences of your actions so have a good hard think and really trust that gut instinct of yours!i hope i have helped you!

I gues it depends on whether you know and like the guy your parents picked out for you...If you do, it would maybe be wise to go with what your parents suggest...What do you mean by "knwing" have you been going out or is he just a friend? Well I would suggest you tal with your parents on that topic...

In many cases, careful thought is put into prearranged marriages. Have you had the opportunity yet to met the person you parents have chosen for you? I work with many Indian doctors - all but one of which were born in India and almost all of them are in marriages which were arranged and in most cases these arrangements have been quite satisfactory. However, many of them, especially the younger generation, say that they will allow their children to choose for themselves.

i know in alot of cultures you have no choice but at the end of the day your meant to be married for the rest of your life so wouldnt it be best to be with someone you love and makes you happy or someone your with whose been chosen for other reasons such as status or wealth? at the end of the day times change and arranged marriages are slowly fading away just think about what you want because whatever decision you make your the one thats got to live with remember divorce isnt as easy as marriage

Marriage is not just for the pleasure of the flesh alone . it is short -lived. you have decide thqt the one whom you know for four years is well known to you , in the sendse whose character and background is weel =knopwn to you. people withour exception behave only differently from form what heyr really are . it is just like evrybody wearing a dress to cover up ther nakedmness ,You are going to live withthe one whom you are to marry, for the rest of your life . you have got to be sure that in all respects to a greater extent , the behaviour and culture and menality of the peron you know for years are not incngruent ot yours . The one the parets choose would b from a background that they know . may be usually one from a family of similar cultiure and known background . You have got to see for yourself on what basis the parents have chosen the person of thier choice. yopuhave to compare them. Life is just a contract - a permanet contract of sacrifice and adjustment . A contract in which the partners undertake to rtake care of each other under all circumstnces and proise to od so but without realising what they promise and in most of the cases the contract is observed in breach only . the world has nevr produced perfect partners and . But mnay have been able to get on togethr with maximum happiness when they have understood each other and have had the aility to accomodate and adjust with each other . So try to have a long range realistic view of your life and and requirement and decide on th eperson to live with . Do not keep your ptoblem for your yourself and be bold to discuss with your parents . After all there is no one for any one in tis world who would care more than a parent for any one . Any parent generally wishes for the good of his / her child only. so whether you choose the person whom you know for four year s or the one chosen by your parents , you have to tell your parents , so that you do not have any problem ,in case you happen to accept the one chosen by the parents and if you choose the one known , you must discuss that also with your parents . But your choice depends on what you have done ,also . In case you have given any hopes to the one whom you know for four years , you may have got to face problems depending on the charcter of the person involved . in any case you have to tellyour poarents and let them know your choice or if you are not able to decide , let your parents decide after you give them a full picture of your case and choice.Do not seek outside advise.
