A ruler once came to Jesus by night
and asked Him the way of salvation and light
The master replied in words true and plain
"Ye must be born again"

Jesus replied "No one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Flesh gives birth to flesh
Spirit gives birth to spirit

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whosoever believes in Him should not persih but have eternal life. John 3 v 16

Repent, ask forgiveness of your sin, and live your life for God, not to please your desires.

What you have to give up is nothing in comparison with what God gives back to you when you belong to Him.

Here you find that there is one way and one way only.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Here the apostle Paul tells us we are all under sin.
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; Romans 3:10

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (But he continues to point out...) and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24

Pray (basically just talking to God) and tell God that you believe that He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to become the perfect human and die on the cross the ultimate payment for all humanities' sins. But, not just "everyone's", He did this so that he could have a personal relationship with you. Being saved is different than being a Christian which means "Christ like". Once you have accepted the salvation that Jesus offers you have this relationship with him. A relationship need to be developed and nurtured on a daily basis. There are lots of aspects. God inspired humans to write His Holy Word the Bible so we read it to know Him and what He expects from us. To learn how to be more "Christ like". Also, we go to church to learn from pastors who teach from the Bible and to fellowship with other Christians. Also, we talk with Him all the time because communication is the only way to build a relationship.

I really hope that I've been some help. Good luck with your eternal decision!

Oh, there's loads of ways to be saved. For instance, if you stuck on a clifftop ledge a rope would do the trick. If its a collapsing tunnel look for a air pocket. You can be saved from a bad hair day by a really good combing. A good solicitor can save you from being fleeced when your getting divorced. And a Swiss army pen knife can save you from loads of things.
There! That's settled. Next question....

Yes ask the Lord into your life and to become your Savior, but lets not forget repentance. It just means to be truly sorry for your sins and to walk away from the old and accept the new life that Christ has give you. If a man does the devils work ask Jesus into his heart but continues to do the work of the enemy is he truly saved?

There are many steps to salvation, not just accepting Christ and you're done.

Baptism by water, receiving the Holy Ghost
Repentance
Receiving your endowment
making the new & everlasting covenant of marriage in the temple
enduring to the end!

Those are the lump sum...

Why? Because God made it that way...
No, really, because we have certain things we need to learn and do before we can become like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

"There is no other name under heaven by which men may be saved."

not Mohammed, not Buddah, not the Dali Lama, no other name...

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Others may have a path or many paths but Jesus is the only Way!!!

You don't need to be saved. There are more important things to think about. If you feel you need to contribute and feel good about yourself, go volunteer at an old age home.
