No, please, dont travel to 166th street to eat chinese food. Please.
I dont know if 166th has changed scince i lived around there, but all the resturants invloved bullet proof glass.
Canal street is chinatown. There are tons there.
If you mean something really nice theres TAO on 58th street between park and lex. You need reservations, and its kind of club like very expensive but fun.

Shun Lee. There are two locations, one on W. 65th and one on the East Side. More expensive than the average Chinese restaurant, but worth it.

There are plenty. I see them all the time-especially here in the Bronx. It's OK-not that bad. Go on Boston Road in the Bronx. There's one on 166th St. I think.
