Why would anyone attack something that means them no harm? Hinduism and Buddhism is amongst the most tolerant religions on planet earth. We can all learn something from them.

I have slightly negative views on Hinduism (the caste system after all) but definitely not on Buddhism, it's a very accepting religion and I deeply admire a lot of it's principles. I think the world would run a lot better if all the religious people converted to Buddhism. For the majority though I would think it's because they don't know much or anything about them and because the never get brought to the attention of most Americans like Islam and Christianity do.l

When was the last time you ever heard about Buddhists going on a violent Crusade? It's just not in the nature of that religion.
As far as Hindus, most of the criminals and terrorists who follow that path are not acting in the name of their religion, so the religion itself doesn't get dragged into the news.

Hindus, particularly Hindu fundamentalists, have been known to riot against their Muslim neighbors, destroy their homes, and kill them. Of course, said neighbors have been known to do similar things against Hindus. In this case, the violence is very much an expression of their religious faith and fervor.
While Buddhists have been known to do horrible things( think the Rape of Nanking, Unit 731, Pearl Harbor, etc.), these actions have never been associated with their religion. In other words, Buddhists do bad things, but not in the name of their religion.

Because those two religions believe in peace and balance and in inthe end stay out of the limelight because they realize that is what causes drama......-un-calm, The Hindus have that belief in Karma if I'm correct, you know.....Kind of like, if you exude goodness, others will exude it towards you......hell if christians truly followed the bible the way we're supposed to we'd be the same, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," Even me a Catholic....(not always the best example) in Mass we say, "Peace be with you......", "and also with you" They Actually Follow their beliefs the best they can and obey.

In America news of Hindus and Buddhists, good or bad, is not seen as relevant. I am not saying I feel this way however.

Ask a fundamentalist Christian, they will be more than happy to speak only negatively about any other beliefs besides their own.
