Talk about living with blinders on.

Jesus was a rebel on a level all his own. He taught love first and foremost. He wasn't fond of the word "except." He preferred "accept."

I love how people are focusing on one word in my question and ignoring the actual point of the question.

I can't see how someone who follows Jesus example can be anything but a liberal. To be a republican you have to be cruel, heartless, ignorant, selfish, greedy, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic and just generally hateful of everyone who is not exactly like themselves.

Jesus (if he existed) was most definitely a liberal. Jesus never spoke directly about any of the talking points the Reps. like to bring up. If it were that important I think Jesus would have mentioned it directly and made a clear mandate such as "I, Jesus, do not approve of homo love or abortions". Didn't happen.

A true Christian would be what Jesus wants them to be. To trust & obey God.

Liberal disobeys God for own rights inconsiderate of others rights. God is a God of Liberty & Justice. Not liberty alone. Justice ensures everyones rights.

Democrats are manipulated by the media. Special rights for abortion & gays & lesbians. And right now seem to be against the war in Iraq and everything else President Bush does. In abortion the daddy's & the baby's rights are taken away. With gays & lesbians, those one man, one woman marriage rights are taken away, even for their children. Now they want to teach sexual orientation to children in gradeschool so they learn to accept it as right.

Did you know that a child of a homosexual gets ridiculed in school by other kids? So do other kids. I was ridiculed for believing in God in 7th grade. In 6th grade I was rejected for standing up for an unpopular girl who was called names.

I believe respect for others should be taught, because all are special & human.

That shouldn't include accepting homosexuality as a righteous behaviour.

Left-wing I am not sure.

There are many differences between the beliefs of rep and dem. I believe the largest difference is the pro-life/pro-choice debate. Christians (as a whole) are pro-life. If living by the Bible, they also believe in an eye-for-an-eye (death penalty). There are certainly more.
Of course, if every Christian thought alike, we wouldn't be having this discussion and the murderous Crusades would never have been.
But, as a whole, Christian ethics tend to lean more towards the right.

i don't understand who Lenny Davis is, yet he grew to become into no longer "bill Clinton's" Press Secretary -- his White living house Press Secretaries have been: Dee Dee Myers, Mike McCurry, Joe Lockhart and Jack Siewart. LANNY Davis grew to become right into a former "lawyer interior the Clinton Adminstration and close pal of Joe Lieberman" (new york cases) this is the Cheney speaking factor line that Lieberman has been utilising and basically shows that democrats have been right to defeat Lieberman interior the well-known. human beings have become uninterested in this crap besides.

Right-wing Fundies are a far cry from Christ, yet they still embrace his name as a way to feel and look legitimate. But if Ralph Reed, Jerry Falwell, and other neo-con crooks are any indicator, they're hypocritical frauds who use the religious base to advance their own agendas. Frankly, I hope JC comes down and shakes some sense into them, that they're perverting the Scriptures and going to Hell. Christ cavorted with saints and sinners alike, and was not judgmental. He accepted everyone into his heart, and taught them that they were all God's children. But today's Fundies just want to oppress and judge, and ignore any scriptures that may try to make them do likewise.

GREAT question!

Interesting statistical observation. My research didn't back it up. There are no recorded instances of Jesus using the word "accept," but I found the following red-letter uses of "except."

Mathew 5:20, 12:29, 18:3, 19:9 24:22, 26:42

Mark 3:27

Luke 13:3, 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 4:48, 6:44, 6:53, 6:65, 12:24, 15:4, 19:11

Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

well I think you have to ask yourself this basic question "If Jesus were to vote for someone, would it be someone for him or against him? Would it be someone against his moral guidelines?" I think not. So it isn't democrat for republican that we should be thinking about. Instead we should be worried about putting godly men and women in office.

The thing is that usually the norm is that democrats as a whole tend to go against Godly principles. Abortion, Homosexuality, Divorce just to name a few.

I can't imagine Jesus running an Abortion Clinic.

That does it for me.

I don't think Jesus would be to fond of either party.

Peace!
