is it that hard? I have been telling my bf for like 2 weeks when my birthday was and he freaks out when he asked how close it is. it was funny yet sad at the same time. I had to run to get away from him so I could laugh. but why? do ya'll not have a memory at all or is it taken up with "other things"??

we have this little memory chip in our heads, and it is only programmed to remember football scores, engine components, and what we want for dinner!!

A bf that remembers b-days does not necessarily mean he is or will be a good boyfriend overall, it just means he has a good memory.
There can be cases where bf's remember your b-day or other important dates but he can be a jerk in many other ways. On the other hand a bf might not remember your b-day bit otherwise can be real nice to you in many other important ways. Its just a matter of what you consider more important.

I've been with my man four years and he wouldn't know my birthday if it was the answer to a million dollar question, deal with it. Such things just don't mean as much to men as they do to women, as long as he loves you that is all that really matters.

Now that's a good question, my man too won't even remember his own moma's bday I have to tell him every year. Isn't that sad? And my bday I make sure he knows when it is and what to buy me or else i'll cuss him out, and make him feel guilty,

Because they are thinking of women, sports, food or some other hobby of theirs. They don't want to think about something they have to remember. They want to think about the things they like.

the birthday remembering part of the male brain is very tiny, but the sex part is enormous, thats why.
