I have Vitiligo and it is getting so much worse. I need to hear from other people with this condition and what you do about it. I am very active and out in the sun all the time. I also have itchy bumps that turn white if I itch them, and it impossible not to especially at night.

I have little patches and have had for some time (no real idea for how long). The reading I have been doing on yeast (I have a systemic yeast infestation) indicates that the candida fungus (yeast) is responsible for vitiligo, too, among other skin conditions (some which may cause itchy bumps).

The treatment for systemic yeast syndrome is too complicated to share. There is some basic info on www.hufa.org, and the library link there has the names of some books on yeast/candida.

Yogurt, internally, and maybe externally has acidophilous bacteria that fights yeast fungus. Hope this helps.

There is no known cure for it in Western medicine, but homeopathy is known to cure some cases. It is a long, slow treatment and the practitioners say one sign of having found the appropriate medicine is that the disease gets worse before getting better.

I have vitiligo also. Mine is not changing much. It does not bother me. I once saw a ***** with it. That looks much more obvious.

my sister has it. she's 40 and it started when she was 13. it was hard for her at first but as she grew she became ok with it. the only time i saw her freak as an adult was her 20th hs reunion. we talked and she said "but i'm spotted!" my response was "and..."
she is a beautiful confident woman with a great job (teacher) amazing husband and i only wish i had her self esteem. she is also active and lives in NM. she uses alot of sun screen. as far as i know there is no treatment (sorry). it is part of who you are and those that can't see thru the spots are ignorant and not worth your time.
