Not long go down to the police station apply for a permit, they take your prints run them to make sure you are not a felon, and I got mine with in a week.

Depends on the state you live in. Here in Indiana it is known as a "concealed weapons permit".

Getting a CCW or permit varies from issuing agencies. Some agencies issue them almost for the asking, some will never issue you one.
