I hate how everyone always blame God for all their problems. Why does it always have to be that way? What if the guy was a smoker and fell asleep with a cigar or cigarette? Is that still God's fault? No, it's his fault. Or if the house burned down because of bad wiring in the walls that caused a fire, is that God's fault? NO, it's the electrician's. Maybe the kids were playing with matches, who knows? But I'm tired of everyone blaming all their problems on God. Take some responsibility in your life. Maybe, just maybe it was no one's fault. Maybe the fire just happened from no one's fault or involvement, maybe sometimes things happen that aren't anyone's fault. Stop the blame game and grow up.

Be thankful that you're still alive. God is not an arsonist. There's likely a perfectly good rational explanation as to why the house burned, such as faulty wiring.
When I was a kid, my family's house burned down. We didn't stand around blaming God. We picked up the pieces and got on with our lives.

God would be unhappy that your house burned down. But, you being an Atheist have probably told God to leave you alone and stay out of your life. Being a kind and loving God he has done that.

First, you thank God for being alive... then it is alright to wonder why it happened.. but be sure to remember that everything happens for a reason... maybe because their house burned down, they are forced to move to another town where they meet their future spouse... maybe because the house burnt down, they realized that they could have been in the fire and so they change their life because of it... maybe because their house burnt down, they are able to move on to bigger and better things that living in that one place had hindered them from previously doing... remember... there is a reason for everything, God does not make mistakes...

Thank God he is alive and wonder why it burned down.
Maybe faulty wiring or you failed to turn off the gas line when it wasn't working properly. Fell asleep with a cigarette in your mouth. There is one thing for sure God is not a butler or a servant and he didn't burn down your house.
Your carlessness did.

You go down the street and do not look where you are going. God is warning you but sin prevents you from hearing all the warnings. In the meantime, the devil tells you to rush out to Sally's house. Sally is married. While you are rushing over to Sally's house you do not hear God telling you not to go and that your brakes are not working. Your question allows and intuitive person the ability to know where you are in God.

As a non-Christian when Katrina destroyed my community I was thankful to be alive. I felt giddy in the midst of all the death and suffering. All of us did. We have grieved for the dead and for what we lost but we are thrilled to be alive. Since a lot of these people around here are Christian draw your conclusions.
