in ANY situation, someone has to be the scapegoat (the person everyone blames) for their problem. ex political, social, etc etc. first of all, burger king too is also unhealthy. second, no matter how many times people complain about mcdonalds, they still go back there again and again. three, they have the free choice to eat there and four i eat there and i am skinny

totally agree

Weirdly enough, i was thinking the very same thing the other day. Mcdonalds is given the media perception of some sort of evil presence in our society. Sure it's evil if you're in there everyday eating 4 bigmac's. Of course, Burger King must be healthy...right?... All fast food contributes to that extra bit of weight we carry around, it just appears Mcdonalds got the blame dumped on them. It's their global presence I believe, Mcdonalds is basically being used as the code word for "fast food".

Hi there, a friend of mine used to do a lot of legal work for McDonalds, and he said that the Ronald McDonald House in your area only gets about 10% of what you see of that change drop box in the drive through. He hasn't donated since he learned that fact through that means. He now donates online directly to the house. As for the gaining weight, if you eat there once a day every day and have a big mac for a meal with fries and a coke, of course you're going to gain weight. But it is their fault in the first place for doing that. Just look at that guy who made the "Super Size Me" movie. I love McDonald's, but I eat mine in moderation, maybe go there once a month for a burger and fries. =)

exactly... they just want a excuse for why they are fat (and to try to win lots of money by suing McDonald's)
and also, they don't have proof that McDonald's made them fat... it could be because they were always like that, because they never exercise, or because they eat other fatty foods.
AND they know that McDonald's is seriously unhealthy, so if i were them i would be embarassed to even say something like "it's McDonald's fault that i'm fat or whatever"

Don't you know that McDonalds is the only restaurant that serves food? Therefore, all the fattening food they sell contributes to the world's weight problems.

No one wants to take accountability for their actions no matter how bad the actions were. If they can blame their weight on anyone then they do. Now, on the other side if McD's was making them thin they would be singing their praises loud enough for all to hear.

Some people look for an easy corporate target to blame. Wal-Mart takes a lot of blame, too.

Because people are always looking to throw the blame onto others instead of blaming their bad habits!!

They are only trying to find a stupid excuse because they got so fat. They are fault because of their weight but you know how do some people react when they see that they had done something stupid and feel guilty.
