There aren't ways to "build up your courage"; that is something you need to do yourself. You can at least try to avoid crashing and burning. If you are going to tell the guy you like him, then try to feel physically comfortable; for instance, if there is a specific outfit you feel sexy in, wear that.
If you are going to tell him over the phone, try planning out what you are going to say ahead of time (make notes if you want). This way if the conversation ever gets stale you know how to proceed or at least veer into telling him you like him.

Just tell him...I've never had a problem with telling a guy I liked them...never had anything but a positive reaction.
Just take a deep breath and ...tell him.

im in the same situation......and its my best friends cousin and i didnt tell her that i liked him but i think she picked up on it............ill get there some day!!!!!!!!!! but good luck with it if u get the courage soon
