Because we are not a fascist regime, although with Bush in office it feels like we are.

Because we have an administration in office that profits from immigrants, especially the illegal ones. And our open door policy is what caused 9/11. It has also got us into the pickle we are in over all of the illegals from mexico.

I don't know the immigration policy of China, but judging from your question I can imaging it must be very tight.

We do need to get tough on this issue, crack down on illegals, give out stiff fines to those who employ then, pass laws giving landlords and banks guidelines about "NOT" renting or selling to illegals, and build the fence....

Please, take time to join the minutemen...or numbersusa.com, or the Patriot Post....or Save our State...or any of the other marvelous sites which promote patriotism to our nation...

We must preserve our heritage, our language, our laws...

ummm.......there was some strict policy against asian immigrants, and it was in the USA

but being too open is bad, people can do whatever they want, whenever they want

unlike China, China at least possess some control

because the US (ehem... america is a bit broader here...) is a country that believes in laws, freedom and human rights so doing something that strict might go agains the constitution or the values ingrained in it...

Illegal immigration is toooootally wrong, but sadly it is still very popular because there's a market for illegal immigrants (those dirt-pay jobs many US citizens don't want to do are perfect opportunities for those seeking any kind of money)

If there's a market for illegal aliens, ¿whose fault is it?.. you see, illegal immigration would slow down or disappear if people didn't hire illegal aliens to do their dirty work... but those dirt-pay jobs no one wants to take are important on a small scale, so if only a few illegals are willing to take those jobs for a small amount of money then so be it (its business, not financial aid)

Sooo, the solution is either raising the pay on those jobs and offering them only to legal american citizens, or hitching your shirtsleeves and doing those jobs in spite of the pay (not giving them to the illegal immigrants)

Simple, isnt it?

btw: US history is brimming with immigration (legal and illegal) since its foundation... so, get used to it! the issues may recede, but they will not go away... cooperate in your own way by culture, not violence.

We are not a brutal communist state like China, so we can't hang them by their thumbs and spank their genitals with a whip.

It is only a matter of time now. There is a reason Mexico isn't a great country, and with all of their citizens coming here, it won't be long before America will have the same look and feel.

The good thing is that I can finally get a good burrito.

Because the liberals would have fits over it. They don't like anything that protects the country, or the working people that were born here.

Who's trying to get into China?

2006-09-12 15:23:51 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 4 1

Because we are not communist. America has always been about welcoming people and being the land of opportunity. However, things need to be done the right way. Everyone who does not go through the correct process should not be allowed to make American dollars. They do not pay taxes on that money and the others make up for it through income and property taxes.

Because - at least for now - we're still a free nation.

So, would you prefer a Communist-form of government like China?
