Is it that God planned the whole apple temptation thing to bring about how life on earth is today, or is it that he messed up big time from the begining?
If he indeed messed up, then he can not be that perfect and is subjected to question and doubts.
If he planned it so, then he is also the cause of our original sin that began with Adam & Eve. Why should we have to repent or pay for that?

Isn't it amazing how you christians evade the meaning of this question and try to point out the little details like it was not an apple.

I love your way of thinking. Thank You. At least not everyone out there is afraid to use their common sense.

Read this please,
22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.
23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.
24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.
27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.

Sweetie, Adam and Eve had it made. They had everything they needed. They allowed Satan to come in to deceive them. They had a fellowship with God. God made them free moral agents, free to chose life or death, or sin and disobedience. You don't have to "pay" for their sin. Just know that because of their sin, you inherited a sin nature that causes you to sin. If you believe on Him and follow Him. Romans 8:1 says there is now no condemnation for them which are in Christ Jesus, who walks not after the flesh but after the spirit.

If you take time to read the scriptures in regard to what you are asking.....you will see that God gave man the chance of choices(freewill).
As He still does today.
Life is full of choices.
He will never ask or do anything contrary to His Word.
Scriptures also share that He is not happy with the outcome of man and is saddened by choices made when mankind was offered so much from the very beginning.
Just as He offers forgiveness of bad choices.
Your ultimate choice is - what do you do with Jesus.....accept/reject....
hence your eternal choice as well.

The Bible doesn't say apple by the way it just says fruit. The fruit is your works so the fruit of the forbidden tree is what comes of confirming self-made knowledges.
The fruit of the tree of life is what comes of believing the Lord's knowledges.

If there is a God, he is obviously quite paranoid and schizophrenic, with all the charm of a child with a magnifying glass and an anthill.

Well that whole thing looks like an incest. We pay for our own mistakes. But we should never forget that whatever happens, it happens for a reason. It is a good one, always.
