Because we believe in personal choice when it comes to something as important as who you're going to spend the rest of your life sleeping next to and working beside.

some people that live in usa and uk do have arranged marriages. But if you are talking generally then, it's true because of the difference in cultures. It's simple really. In India the tradition goes where the parents pick out a spouse, in the us and uk, culture points more toward independence and "freedom" of young people. So most young people decide to pick their own spouse. You can see this aspect in other things as well. Close to all indian students have parents take up their college fees (not as a debt but sort of as a duty). Not true so much for American or English students. Even if the parents do pay for college it is usually considered a debt. Another aspect of that is moving out. Most Americans and English move out around the age of 18 or by the time they are in college for sure (this is a generalization like your question ofcourse). In Indian houses, if the parents are in the same country as their kids, the kids usually commute to college. I and my sister have been raised in the states, but we are Indians. My parents paid for her college and are paying for mine. She commuted everyday during her college years. Now she is working full-time so she has her own place. My parents are now looking for a guy for her so they can arrange her marriage. That is just how culture and tradition go, most follow it, some choose not to. Arranged marriages happen for those that choose to follow it and make their parents happy.
I know I answered your question and then some, but I just wanted to give you some context. Hope it helped...
to lesleann: I know you would hate it if someone were to make a generalization about white women in a negative manner, so next time you answer a question why dont you consider the fact that there could be indian women (like myself) who read what you say. My sister who is an INDIAN WOMAN is an engineer making almost 6 figures in her first year. She has her own house (it's new by the way), car everything. I think it's fair to say that she can provide for herself. I will be getting my ph.d in psychology and i'm pretty sure i WILL BE PROVIDING FOR MY SELF and in case you forgot already i am also an indian woman! now that we have established that indian women can provide for themselves...where are you at in your life? should i start making generalizations on all white females based on that? i could, but i choose not to.

Your 13! you're unlikely to have this arranged marriage till you're a minimum of 18 years previous. it extremely is 5 years away - cool down and merely loosen up. In that factor you could meet somebody that your parents extremely like and settle for. you won't have the ability to easily pass off what your father is saying now, keep in mind your age! concentration on different issues....issues that 13 twelve months olds would desire to concentration on - no longer MARRIAGE! whilst the time gets closer revisit this communication with him, yet till then, stay your existence. heavily you don't be attentive to how a lot can substitute in merely 5 years!

That is their culture . all cultures are not the same . Cuture of each country is diferent and is more related to the environment and climate of the countries. Those countries are in temperate zones close to the frigid zone. They came to civilized settled life much later than the communities that lied in torrid zomnes and temperate zones close tothe torrid zones. Their way of life is totally different ,They did not thik that the womwn had any rloe other than providing sex and food to the men who were only hunters . They were depedent on hunting animals as they did not have much of vegetation as in the torrid zones and women wer not able to hunt animals like men, not only th ewest most of the other countries wer also treating woamn as objects of sex only . In thewest the family considers a girl as good for nothing if she is not able to get hold of a boy and they encourage their girls to move with the boys to choose their partner in life . they date many boys and even experience many sexes and some evn become pregnant and some evn are left as single mothrs with a child whose father they do not know .The girls are required to show themselves as sexy as possible and they are proud of it . the boys are required to cover up evetything and the girls are required to show up everything ,some of our girs who are also pervent and keen on having mutiple sex experience before marriage do like to ape the westerners . Unfortunate . We will also have single mothers and children who do nt know their fathers. in the west even dogs and cats are considerd to be superior as their paedigreeis regosterd and people are proud of it .but in the case of the humans , it is unfortunately absenct . Veru few pwopel ar sure of their parentage and there socity is communistic . Ther eare quite a lot of good things that we can learn from them but definitely not in thie=s are a .In so far as this aspoect is concerned , it would be good for that society , if they learn something from us..
The fact is the naked being is attractive for one who has been covering up himself incloithes and the one in clothes is attaractive for one who has been naked all along . you have to decise what you are .and what you want . - a wide experience before you take up a real job or an in-job training under the expert in-law after you take up the job. ytou have to decide whethre you want to be USA&UK or Inida.
There it is a contrct job which is easily resigned and one easily changes a dozen jobs before he breathes his lost and gets childre n born of a dozens species. There they no do not care for job security and and can dioscord it as frequently as hey choose . Here in inida it ia permanency tht is given much importance and you can not discord the contract at your sweet will and pleasure . Ther they can kiss onthe road and even before the children and parents and her it is not like that . here eeh animals are shy to do such things .They they are holding each other very tightly even while they ae moving in the street when they date , because they are not when they would fall apart and therefore want to enjoy as much warmth as possible before they fall out .Here they are not like that because ,they know that they will be spenidng their life together till the breath thier last. You choose what you want .-Permanent job or a dozen temporary jobs .
