Sure, do what you want, you can make it look like a 16 year old's party! Adults do themed birthday parties, why can't you?
I f boys are invited, get one of them to dress up as the knight, even if it is for one dance, guarantee him that he will be anonymous, or pay him and provide the costume. You can have your mom hire a knight, , there is a guy in my area that dresses up and has a whole program he presents, talks about the days of the round table and brings weapons to show. Just make sure mom or dad is right there in the room watching when a hired person is there.
You can have a spa day, you could all go to a spa, and have your hair or nails done, and some cosmetologists will come to the house and do make-up or nails. I do not know how much this might cost.Wear a tee-shirt that says" I am the princess, and it is my birthday."
If you want to have a dress-up party, do it, but make sure you give plenty of time to the girls, so they have time to find a costume. Maybe have a pricesses of all decades party, they could wear a ball-gown like pricess Di, or a fairy dress, or copy a dress a real knight might have seen. And do not be offended if some can't afford it, or do not want to. You could provide a few items, like a feather boa, or a crown for those. See your local party store, or those stores where everything is a dollar, or a discount house might have just the thing.
Are you an artist? Paint some sceenery on cardboard, a castle a moat, a dragon. Have a really cool cake, shaped like a castle with a dragon and a knight, or buy them to go an top of the cake. There was a show on food network just last night, with 2 castle birthaday cakes It was a competition, they were designing cakes for a kid.
You could go the glittery, sequiny pricess route, paint the sceenary with chandeliers, crystals and glitter, have a shiney cake with jewels and pearls, find gold or silver plates at the party store, [ And sorry, spellcheck is not working.]
Good luck to you and your mom, and happy pricess 16th.

You could rent out a hall and decorate it in a princess theme. You could even make it a dress up party where everyone must wear large gowns and men in tux'es. That would be cute too. Then you could ask the cutest boy in school to be your prince or an outsider boy that you know that you think is gorgeous to be your "prince" for the evening.

Watch my sweet 16 on MTV once and get some ideas from that. oBviously you cant go to that extreme and spend hundreds of thousands on the party but you can scop eit out for ideas.

I think your party should be a social readjustment theme. AKA, if you keep calling yourself princess everyone is going to think you are stuck up, spoiled, b*tchy and a brat.

But if you must know, the party idea sounds better for a 6 year old, not a 16 year old. Try something a little more grown up.

Oh I went through this whole dilemma with my daughter! She is one of the youngest in her class- so by the time she was 16- she had gone to so many Sweet 16 parties...some were very fancy- like a wedding in very expensive places....some were in the girls' houses. We opted to have a "beach party" theme...we rented the clubhouse on the beach, bought tropical decorations, platters, servers, plates, etc, had fake palm trees, pails and shovels with sand in them, and things like that. It was casual- good thing because it was a very hot day in June- and everyone seemed to have fun. You CAN go to too many dressy parties- sometimes you just want to relax and be comfortable.
I gave her the choice- but she went with this idea- there are so many things you can do, though.
Hope this helps!

you pretty much want to do something like what latin family call, "mis quinces" which is done when the young girl becomes 15.
go to www.misquinces.com they have a section in english which will give you ideas for your party theme.
alsohow to ask the guy you want. you can just invite him. you can ask your friends to invited him.
you can have him siting close to the dance floor and the minute that you need for him to dance with you, grab his hand and lead him on to the dance floor.

i'm coming up with a random concept that i think of would be exciting. extremely of going procuring on the mall, attempting doing a private occasion in a boutique. I stay in nyc, and there's a boutique called "darling" right here. They carry birthday events. They close down the keep for an afternoon, and surely the occasion is interior the keep. You and your people get to keep and stuff, and get served foodstuff. it rather is like a private procuring occasion. i don't comprehend if there is any shops like that around the place you reside, in spite of the fact that it does not injury to ask around. it rather is great exciting, and you and your people can fool around with the clothing without getting yelled at or kicked out.

Sure it is! Send out invitations and let everyone know what the theme is for your party! Have your mom rent out the skating rink or town hall or even a dining room in a local hotel. Ot rent one of those gazebo tents and have it in your back yard! Be sure to let all the kisds who r coming know! sweet 16 only happens once! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!~

It's more of a 12 year old party, but sure. After all, 16 doesn't really MEAN anything. And if this is your level of maturity, you should probably be kept as far from driving privileges as possible.
