I agree with allnaturalred... depends on the age of the tiger.
I image if a "Kung fu" master went hunting a tiger, he/she would bring a weapon. The stories of the Romance of the Three Kindgoms has a lot of slaying of tigers...

Kung Fu Masters aren't trained to fight tigers they are trained to fight humans. So they would lose hands down.
