I have to either question the professionalism of your dentist or your ability to take his advice. I find it very hard to believe that he would give you that kind of news and not tell you what could be done about it. And if he chose not to.. for whatever reason.. I find it hard to believe that you left his office without asking him. I find it even harder to believe that you would come to a yahoo website in order to get your answer.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. If you have a tooth coming up (erupting) then I don't see why it would be a problem coming up where a hole (where the baby tooth would have been) was. But if you're saying that the tooth could get a hole in it, then you should have a filling placed there. If it is due to deep grooves on the tooth, then maybe look at placing a sealant on the tooth to protect from cavities. Ask your dentist for clarification and have him treat it if necessary. Good luck!

Are you sure he didn't just say "your teeth are erupting, you a** hole!"

What exactly do you mean by your question? What sort of hole are you on about?

I think you can't prevent holes, when it happens have it clean and the dentist will put some 'pasta' to cover the hole.

Drink milk, avoid acidic or sugary foods, brush twice a day or after meals. My dentist advised me to floss but I've survived this long without doing so, and I ain't too young!

what did he mean "erupt in to a hole"? does he mean it will erupt into a gap already there or it will erupt with a hole in it?
