The wonderful world of brown bagging it. Does he have a microwave and a fridge available. If he does than it's a no-brainer. My wife will make 5 days worth of Chicken stir fry and I tupperware it to the office everyday. Healthy/Economical and Tasty. You can even add rice if you like...but if you are trying to drop the weight I would suggest brown rice if any at all.
Guys don't want to pack a lunch every morning....it sucks. I would rather go without than make a sandwich every morning. I think men have a problem with making food without eating it right then. At least if you do it on Sunday it will be done in one shot. Alot of the times we will eat stir fry for dinner on Sun and I take 3 or 4 days worth the following week.
Good Luck.

If he has accsess to a micro wave there are more things he can bring for lunch! Frozen dinners mini pizzas ect..... If not that the only thing you can do is sandwiches. Sandwiches 3 times a week is better than fast food five times a week. He will be amazed at the weight he lose's

When I'm in a hurry to prepare my lunch I usullay just grab a progresso soup ready to eat. It is a good size portion it warms up quickly and it tastes like home made. I reccommend chicken and wild rice, my favorite. Also, you could cook some extra food for dinner and leave it for lunch. Otherwise, he could take some salads, but not the light salads we women hav, he could take something a little heavier here is a good receipi he can eat with crackers: shredded ckicken, some mayo, lettuce, canned vegies, and fresh parsley, really good.

Leftovers- just make enough the night before. Sometimes my wife will do something a little different with the entree that I will be bringing in for lunch the following day. For example, if we have chicken tenders and rice, she may make some of the chicken into fajitas for me.

Salad is quick and easy, especially with those "bag salads" available. Add either on the salad or on the side interesting things like guacamole, hummus, egg salad, hunks of cheese like cheddar or even the hot pepper jack kind, cottage cheese, fruit, fruit cups, granola bars, Cheez-Its, Triscuits, bacon, pickles, etc.

Make him some wraps. Everything you need like the wrap comes ready to use. Just put some chicken, turkey whatever he likes and some veggies. No cheese if he's trying to cut down. For extra flavor, I would send some fat free dressing of his choice.

pasta salad.. cold chicken and salad..flask of soup and some bread..
if he's got access to a microwave at work.. there's no end of stuff..
you can put in a Tupperware box and just heat up..
personal fave is chili or curry.. though lasagna works well heated up too or bake some potatoes and heat them up..
eating at work sucks so yeah.. it's a good idea to try and vary it..

Well if he has a small microwave you can pack leftovers.Salads, with maybe grilled chicken in it.
Maybe some cheese, crackers. fruit, cottage cheese. Soups are always good.
