I have an exbf who wants to come back. what i dont understand is why would a guy have the nerve try to come back after the hurtful things he said and done. what is going on in that person's mind? why mess with me again?

he is a cruel person and might just be trying to see if you will come crawling back...
or B)
he may have come up with some more hurtful things and is looking to try them out on someone.
Or C-through-Z)
he is just a person like you or I who has made mistakes in his life like everyone else and is looking for forgiveness and would like to give it another shot because he still cares for you =)
You will have to decide if you are going to put yourself out on the line to see which it is though, no one can make that choice for you =)

You know, it could be a few things. It could be that he has time to think about what happened, the way he treated you, how happy you guys were together, and so on. He could be 100% sincere about this and have no intentions beside getting you back. But.....then again....he could just be playing a game too. He could just be trying to get back to see if its possible, to see if he has mastered you or not. The only way that I can think of to see which way it is is to make him do something or say something in front of a bunch of people about you. Like I love you or something like that. Make sure he really is yours to keep.

that is a difficult topic to talk about, but if he has done and said hurtful things to you before, whose to say that it won't happen again? now don't get me wrong i do believe in second chances and forgiving but there is only so much that a heart can take before it has reached it's limits, you have to really know a person because he could be lying to you and i know that you don't want to be hurt again so don't be deceived by lies and lines. just be careful. good luck darling.

What I think you might need to do is IF you let him come back exercise EXTREME CAUTION. Because men like that are very dangerous. He might be trying to use you for something and you might not know until it became to late.
IF you let him come back, have some VERY strict rules that he must follow, so that if you need to, you can drop him faster than a cement truck.

He's probably been with a couple to alot of girls since you and maybe he realizes he messed up with you and wants u back.id try again your attitude towards the relationship will be different you''ll let him go the secound you see the old him

Sounds like he is either oblivious to how he affects you or he is a glutton for punishment when you keep telling him to go away. Either way, I say let him mess up somebody else as it sounds like you have had enough of him. Hmmmmm

see what his thing is he is unhappy with his life and he probably can't help the dumb hurtful things he says he will never change trust i have been married to someone like that and i am far away from him now tell him lets just be friends this way when he says something that he us not supposed to say you can tell him to step way the hell off

Because he regrets losing you maybe? Either that...or he hasn't had any lately and he knows where to go?? You will be able to figure it out...think about it.....think.......how do you think he REALLY feels about you. Just don't let him use you. Be a challenge and make him work to get you back. Tell him he has to prove himself....
