Instead of just a protein diet I'll suggest eating 6-8 times a day concentrating on good protein(chicken, fish, eggs, beef and pork) and healthy forms of carbohydrates(brown or white rice, vegetables, oatmeal and potatoes) as well as healthy forms of fat(peanut butter is great along with your vegetables and whole grains).Eat a surplus of calories every day and lift heavy weights concentrating on compound movements(squat, bench, dead lift and bent over barbell rows).I was a hard gainer when I started to lift 22 years ago but have grown exponentially since implementing a similar program.I was consuming 7000 calories per day but you may not need that many. It'll be trial and error at first. The best protein powder on the market today is Designer Whey. You must try to get some source of good protein every 3 hours to retain a positive nitrogen balance and remain anabolic.Train each body part intensely only once per week and get plenty of rest.Stay away from cardio until you feel you've gained sufficient mass. And GNC is way overpriced.DPSNitrition.net.I've been using them alone for over ten years now. You'll get twice as much from them for your money as GNC.Good luck.Joe

There is a product called Weight Gain on the market. My friend had to use it before she had her jaw surgery. She was already small and they didn't want her to get too skinny when they wired her mouth shut.Go to a General Nutrition Center (GNC) They will surely have it there or something very similar. Also to bulk up you need to stop the cardio you do or at least slow it down, and increase the weight you lift.

When I was pregnant with my 2nd child, I had a weight gaining problem: I was actually LOOSING instead of gaining. My doctor put me on a cashew diet - I was to eat 3 square meals each day, but was told to get at least 8 servings (4 oz. each snack) of cashews in between meals. WOW! In the first week, I gained 10 lbs.

MY HUSBAND TAKES PROTEIN SHAKES, HE GAINS A LOT OF WEIGHT IN A MATTER OF WEEKS, HE WEARS ABOUT 32 WHEN HE STOPS TAKING SHAKES, BUT WHEN HE DOES HE GOES TO ABOUT 36 IN A FEW WEEKS, HE EATS ALOT BUT THE GUY NEVER GAINS WEIGHT MAN, I WISH I HAD THAT PROBLEM. THE SHAKES U CAN GET POWDER FOR THEM AT GNC OR ANY NUTRITIONAL STORE, SOME TASTE LIKE STRAWBERRY OR CHOCOLATE.

best way to get your perfect healthy body weight is to eat healthy and it 3 smaller meals a day plus healthy snacks. I was told this when I was a teen and needed to gain weight. I was also told the same thing now to lose weight. this info was given to me by doctors. good luck!

Oh sure, the American way...watch tv, eat junk food, take naps. You'll be pudgy before you know it.
