Hi Bonnie, I really empathize with you. I had several emergency room trips and countless doctors' visits and other tests before I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Since fibromyalgia is often such a hard diagnosis to arrive at, start trying to figure out what gives you pain relief and go from there. I take 800 mg. of Aleve and a 1000-mg. flaxseed oil capsule every night at bedtime, and I take Arnica tablets (a homeopathic herb) as needed for flareups. Check out the links below for information. Please let us know if or how you find relief.

See a rheumatologist. There is definitely a thing call fibromyalgia. Some doctors don't accept it and consider you to have mental problems. Don't see them if they make you feel that way. They are lacking in knowledge. It's a lot like back pain with some doctors. If you have pressure points of pain in your body that go to different parts of your body without ever being in the same place, you could have fibromyalgia. It effects your muscles and will cause you to have flares of pain. You could also have chronic pain syndrome. Arkansas doctors? Okay, then.

I've been to the ER I don't know how many times after 2years of that and a few trips to my rheumatologist I was told that I have fybromyalgia! WOW! Like didn't already know that but according to some. It's not a real disease. I get blood work done every 3 months on paper I'm as healthy as a horse according to my Dr. but I'm that big yet! NO YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEE A SHRINK! The pain is not your! IT"S IN YOUR BODY! You just need to get the right Dr. for you and I'm sorry to say it may be a year or 2 just hang in their when you hurt take easy don't push yourself it will just prolong your flare. BEST OF LUCK!

Fibromyalgia is he diagnosis given when they have tested you forever and found nothing and yet the pain is real. You could begin reading up on the disease -- there's lots of vitamins, diets, acupuncture and herbs that people are using to get the disease to lessen or leave the body altogether.

I feel like you. I constantly feel ill. My symptoms are aching body from head to toe. sharp pains throughout body, joints, muscles. I tire easily and feel sick from certain foods, etc. etc. I'm been tested for lots of stuff but apparently nothing is wrong with me. Life is a struggle that's for sure. If you feel unwell it is not in your mind and I hope that you one day feel better.

have they ruled out liver disease or kidney disease?
hcv plays a high role in those with hcv and it's bi-directional diseases....get checked!
