I no abs can get stronger but since they consist of roughly 90% slow twitch fibres hypertrophy seems impossible. That being said it seems people with good physiqes have larger abs, or is that just due to having low body fat?
Please have some knowledge on the subject

All I know is that a healthy diet, good exercise and regular stomach crunches all tone and firm up your abs, creating the sexy six pack. Try that.

That's a strange question in my line of work,I am a personal trainer, most people want to make their abs smaller, but I would suspect that you're seeing a combination of low body fat and toned abs.
