Yeah. Mix it with caffeine-free coffee, and make the mix less strong in caffeine every day. Do it kinda slow. In a week or maybe two you will be fine without caffeine.

My husband doesn't know it, but to cut back on the caffeine & without causing him withdrawl headaches, I started getting 1/2 or a little less of regular beans & filling the bag the rest of the way with decaf. He mentioned that the coffee tasted a little different, but I just told him I got different beans. I usually get the regular beans in a light to medium roast & the decaf in a medium dark roast. Since I wouldn't be happy quitting coffee totally, I haven't changed the mix, but for you to "QUIT" coffee & stave off the headaches, I suggest just adding a little more decaf, less regular to the mix until it is all decaf or until you feel you can quit without the withdrawl headaches....

Well done for having a go. Start by reducing the caffeine gradually, have caffeine free coffee and tea as an alternative. Similar to withdrawal from sugar, you are going to get a headache if you go cold turkey - bad head cramping.

Well, I tried this and it did work. I was caffeine free for a while but I am back to it.. For coffee drinkers, cut back gradually by replacing part of your cofffee with decaffeinated coffee until you are drinking just de-caf. I realize there is still a small amount of caffeine in de-caf but the reduction from full strength brew is so much you will not notice it. While you are at it, don't forget that colas and diet colas and tea and chocolate and cocoa and MOUNTAIN DEW also contain caffeine.

I hadn't really gotten into drinking coffee until I was in college where I started drinking some (2-3 cups) every day for a few months, until I realized I was feeling a sort of vibration in my energy that I decided I didn't like, so I stopped. I immediately felt better and haven't had any coffee for 41 years.

Just like everybody else said, do it slowly. Buy some decaf and then make a pot of regular then make a pot of decaf. At first, make a cup of 3/4 regular and 1/4 decaf. Then 1/2 and 1/2. Then 3/4 decaf and 1/4 regular. Then drink a full cup of decaf.

I love coffee but get a type of build up and painful breasts from it so I had to switch and I did go to half caf first for about a week then quarter caf, and now I am only on decaf but I use the flavored decaf like choc., or Irish cream. I love it now, too.

why would you wanna do that!??! ok, wht the person above me said, do it slowly. That is good advice, becaue caffeine is addictive. mix it with low caff coffee and go to no caff drinks. start off with the coffee,though. I cant do without my coffee and won't go caff free. I drink caff- free drinks , but gotta have my coffee in da mornin! lol
