i'm 18 years old and i'm finishing my matric year. All of my friends are going to different universities and we all wanna have some fun for the last time together - hopefully not! Ive been with my bf for the last 2 and a half years, so it's not like it's something new going on vacation with him. We want to go for at least a week, stay in a hotel and we all have our own cars. Its not that my parents are uptight, they're worried and would propably prefer that i stay home......

If you are older then 17, and are GOING TO PAY FOR IT YOURSELF, then go for it.

TIPS
1 - Leave a contact # where they could reach you at anytime
2 - Offer to check in every day or 2
3 - Make sure it is NOT just couples going - play the friend angle NOT the boyfriend angle
4 - Do NOT give them a reason not to trust you or you will never leave the house again :P
5 - Give them a good reason. Are you graduating? Is it someone's birthday?
6 - Don't wine
7 - Do not use the word trust
8 - Be honest

Good luck. I wouldn't let my daughter go if she worded it the way you did.

How old are you?
Maybe they're right and you shouldn't be allowed to go.

Would you let your kid go out with a boyfriend or girlfriend where you have absolutely no idea where they are or what they're up to. That girl in Aruba went without her parents and she ended up dead and the criminal was never caught. These are the things parents think of.
can you convince your parents this won't happen to you. Good Luck. fighting another person's fear is the biggest challenge on the planet.

in line with danger in case you have been 'thinking' someplace besides Zante! Zante is a social gathering city, that serves liquor to youngsters. As a parent, i replaced into to blame for my babies till they have been 18. i does not enable my cherished teenagers to circulate to a minimum of certainly one of those place without a trusted chaperon. If i did no longer care approximately them, i could have stated, "ok", just to get them out of my hair. yet, i like my teenagers! think of roughly your mum and dad' point of view..in the event that they allowed you to circulate without a chaperon, they could be irritating each minute. they might have faith YOU, yet they don't have an identical have faith in all your people. they could difficulty ill, till you decrease back abode, secure and sound..while you're having such great exciting, they could be rather depressing for the full week..no longer extremely honest, huh? the two come across a trusted chaperon, ask your mum and dad if there's a place that they could sense delicate which you could circulate, or wait yet another twelve months. My son went to Greece for 11 days with 21 teenagers and 2 trusted chaperons, and had the time of his life! in spite of the fact that, his thoughts of what various the different teenagers did, ( think of nude seashores and drunkenness) replaced into sufficient to coach mum and dad' hair gray.

If you are an adult then you do not need their permission. If you are not an adult then you are not old enough to go on holiday without adult supervision.

BTW: it's not YOU they don't trust - it's the boyfriend.

You need to listen to your parents, they have what is good for you at heart, and if you are not legally old enough to go on your own, you have no choice.

IF YOU ARE UNDERAGE THEN I SEE NO REASON FOR YOU TO BE ALLOWED TO GO ON HOLIDAY WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION UNLESS YOUR PARENTS ARE NUTS.
