Did you take the drug for a long time? You need to taper the dose to prevent withdrawal symptoms. Start taking .5 mg a day then after a few days switch to every other day, this allows your body to slowly get use to being without the drug. Good luck, I have come off this drug before with no problems. I took it for a month straight and quit with no withdrawals. Everybody is different. Also make sure your doctor knows you are stopping the drug.

Before you stop you need to discuss it with your prescribing physician who will help you to cut down and stop if that is best for you.

had you tapered the drug by .5mg in increments, you would have no withdrawal symptoms. As it is, the withdrawal tends to depend upon the length of time taken.
