I found an old bottle in the cabinet. Wondered if it's vinegar now or something rare and fabulous. I have the feeling it's garbage, I think it's the kind of wine you want to drink while it's young. Anyone know?

The chances are 99% that it is not goingto taste as good as it once did.

It all depends on two things. First -- how well the wine has been stored & dark cook good, everything else is bad. Second, what wine it is. Possibly if it was a good quality wine to start with it maybe drinkable now.

But Muller-Thurgau is not generally used to make good quality wines ....

Open it, taste it and make up your own mind. But have a stand by by bottle to hand

Young is best. Open it and give it a try.

Wine from the Muller-Thurgau is usually dry to semi-dry and is lightly aromatic. Muller-Thurgau is a variety that was created in the late 19th century as a cross between Riesling and Sylvaner. It is early maturing and can grow well in cool climates.

Muller-Thurgau is grown primarily in Germany (where it is planted more than any other grape), Austria, New Zealand and Oregon.
