As I've noticed on this forum, most things about illegals are just mexican bashing. Do you hold a resentment towards mexicans because of the may 1st marches? Is it against all mexicans even though millions of them are permanent residents, citizens and in many cases 3rd, 4th and even 5th generation citizens? When you bash mexicans, do you ever think of the thousands of them who are serving in the military? I won't ask anymore questions on this forum, all I get is hate.

I agree completely with your point, everybody here says that they're against illegals and not Mexicans than why are they always talking trash about Mexico? and posting with avatars of the Mexican flag upside down and a cartoon peeing in the Mexican flag? that's not right, not all of the illegals are Mexican, and not all Mexicans are illegal. and as for those people that think that mexicans talk trash about americans too, I believe taht those are impostor they aren't mexicans for real, they just want to make the americans upset, most of the people from mexico is respectful.

Well as I'VE noticed on this forum, the bashing goes both ways. Mexicans bash Americans, Americans bash Mexicans.

And no, I have no resentment because of the May 1st march. Why would I? They helped my cause more then their own. Plus it was the greatest shopping day of the year (IMO) because the stores weren't crowded, I didn't even have to shoulder people out of the way or pick up their carts and set them aside to get though an aisle.

I don't hold any adverse feelings for any one of any heritage that has come here via the legal route. My respect for the military is boundless. All its men and women no matter what race or country of national origin. Many men of Mexican heritage have and are serving this country extremely well and I am grateful for their sacrifice,as well as the black, red, yellow and white men and women that have given their lives to protect this country.
I have many friends and neighbors that I not only see socially ,but have a close relationship with that are of Mexican heritage.
No I do not like to see illegals march and destroy this country's flag,no I don't understand how criminals can demand rights, when they are in fact, criminals. My problem is not with their race but their misuse of this country. If they were from any country and did the same thing I would feel exactly the same way.
And with that said I am against any amnesty for any illegals from any country.

And please don't stop using this venue, dialog is very important to all of us.No ones going to always agree but just ignore the nasty vile answerer's and understand they really are a minority.I express my opinions and I don't use racist terms so there are a lot of us on here that do that.Oh I'm adamant in my views lol but I try to never attack any one directly.Stay with us ...Your voice is needed .even if I never agree with you I will always answer you respectfully.

With some people it's all about race in the end of the day. I've read so much crap on here that there's no way to take most of this seriously. The one's who constantly post here writing about Mexicans are racist. Then the one's who post less usually have more insightful things to say, instead of just spewing hatred.

Surprisingly, there are some good answers for your question.

Only an idiot wouldn't be able to distinguish the bigots here from those solely against illegal entry.

I thought the May 1st marches were AWESOME. I made it to work and home again in about 1/4 of the normal time. It then dawned on me that... Yeah.. I could live without illegals here.

It is ashame that people keep turning this into a RACE issue. Seems to be a cop-out. I guess it is easy to do since 98% of the illegals are mexican... but most of us want ALL illegals out, mexican, polish, german, canadian, asian... whatever... GET THE HELL OUT

People are confusing two things. Some people dislike illegal immigrants, some people dislike Mexicans.

Unfortunately, some of the people who oppose illegal immigration do it because they hate Mexicans. That doesn't make wanting to enforce the law against illegals wrong. It just makes those particular people bigots.

I think many Americans who are of Mexican descent and here legally are also concerned about illegal immigration, and that they may get lumped in with the illegals.

Many illegals come from south of Mexico - and Mexico is trying hard to keep THEM out!

All I want is for people to respect our laws, come in legally, learn the language, not claim that this is really their country somehow, assimilate and become good American citizens, have undivided loyalty to the US, pay their taxes, and not become a public drain.

If they meet my test, I don't care where they came from.

Actually, if my test were implemented, some native-born Americans would fail!!! Where can we send THEM? (sarcasm)

PS I'm glad there's at least one young person here who posts something else besides "does he/she really like me" - I know that's important too, but it gets old after a while! And trust me, after 30 years of dating and relationships you still might not know! :)

No not just Mexicans, but illegal alien invaders
Then again it was Mexico's flag that was waved in the faces of America and that is a fact.
If they are legal no prob. The prob is this is America Our country and Illegal fecal matter for brains illegal Mexicans were demanding Rights unearned and not deserved.
1st,2nd, 10 generation Americans from Mexico are Americans F-them if they side against America.
I have no African-American friends, or Mexican-American, Australian-American or any hyphenated-friends. I just have friends, American friends and non-American friends. I just use the word friends. OK sometimes smart or stupid-friends.
I'm against "hyphenated" Americans. Only those who hold duel citizenship should be
hyphenated. If an American wishes to acknowledge their heritage doesn't it make sense to be American-African, American-Mexican, America-Cuban...etc. There's no hyphen after the word American. If you must hyphenate please American first then your Hyphen.
Please pass it along, American then hyphen. If you must hyphenate at all..

well i do understand your fustration. but also understand the fustration of the people who have lost jobs or cant get jobs because of illegals basically taking over. and then you hvae the may marches in which they flew mexican flags. you dont want a better life in another country and then fly the wrong flag sorry just not smart not smart at all. plus right now we are in a clash with culture. their culture is different than our culture and with that come several things hygene personal space and how courtesy is shown to others. real cultrue clash can actually be seen if you look around interesting from that perspective at least

I resent illegals plain and simple. No matter what country the come from. I hold a lot of resentment for the protests in which American flags were torn down, desecrated and the Mexican flag being hoisted in its place - and THAT was done by illegal Mexican immigrants. I think the confusion is coming when 'we' protest "illegals" YOU'RE assuming we are only referring to Mexicans. Uhm, for the last time people--ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS is not a synonym for MEXICAN. Please don't put words in our mouths.

You are right, there are so many ignorant and hateful people in this forum; that love to be condescending towards other immigrants specially Mexicans, and unfortunately they usually "Generalize" which is very wrong thing to do.
