In Gen 34, where Jacobs sons want to avenge their sister being defiled by some guys.. They go in to their camp and say "hey we want to be friends with you guys and marry and trade, but you have to be circumcised... so the whole town gets circumcised and while they are healing and in pain.. the brothers kills everyone and keeps the women and all their stuff...'
They got into alot of trouble by their dad, but the sister was avenged!

The whole book of Esther. It is a story from the begining of the book to the end (most books have many stories or psalms). It's so amazing that God gave her the courage to go to the King, if you haven't read it, you should! The book For Such a Time as This really helped open my eyes to Esther, and now it's my favorite.

I've always liked the story of when Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead. And on the way the woman in the crowd touched the hem of his clothes and was healed because of her faith. So many subtle lessons to be learned in that account. Good stuff!

Love all the Old Testament stories. They really show how God uses everything, good AND bad to accomplish His will in His time. But I don't think that I can pick just one - there are too many to choose from.

The Prodigal Son. Not only does the father offer love and forgiveness before the son even says he's sorry, but if you'll notice the wording, it's something like "The father went out toward him when he was a long way off." It's a tough but difficult model -- it's good to know God still wants us when we're "a long way off" from who he's want us to be... we should try to be that forgiving to others.

The parable of the good Samaritan in Luke. With this, Jesus (or at least the writer) enlarged the definition of "neighbor" to include anyone in need and expressed the beautiful idea that we should be compassionate to all, not just those of our immediate family or group.

The book of Tobit. Even though I am no longer Catholic, this is in the Catholic bible and is a very beautiful story.

My favorite story is about Jesus Christ. Why because he did powerful miracles and he help us with our sins.Do you know why Israel was not God people any more?Because many rejected Jesus and killed him and that open the doors for many other race to be saved.
