The Sabbath (sundown Friday night through sundown Saturday) and the Lord's Day (Sunday) are two separate days.
The Sabbath mentioned at the forth Commandment was on the last day of the week (Saturday); the Lord's Day was on the first day of the week (Sunday). Worship on the Lord's Day is mentioned numerous times in the New Testament: see Acts 20:7, 1 Cor. 16:2, and Rev. 1:10, for example. Conversely, NT believers are not documented to have worshipped on the Saturday Sabbath.
As Christians, we are free from the Mosaic Law, which includes the forth Commandment. We are to "pray without ceasing" and "give thanks in all things," essentially making each and every day of the week our Sabbath. The Lord's Day, Sunday, was set by the Apostles (NOT by Constantine) as the day the Church gathers together to fellowship and worship.
Peace.

No where does it say that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday. The Sabbath is a day of rest and it was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.
Why do Christan's worship on the First Day of the week.? Well I think one reason was the Jews who were not the followers of Christ had use of the temple or synagogue on the Sabbath so the followers of Christ made use of the temple on the first day of the week because it is the day on which Christ arose. Later on they met in the homes of fellow believers because the Jews frowned on the followers of Christ. That is just a guess.
The Living Bible Rev 1: 10 This info comes from John on the island of Patmos. "It was the Lord's Day and I was worshiping.
1Cor 16: 2 "On every Lord's Day each of you should put aside something of what you have earned to be used for this offering."
Acts 20: 7 On Sunday we gathered fo a communion service, with Paul preaching.
I am not Catholic but I see that they are being BLAMED for worship on the Lord's day and from what I have written Worship on The Lord's Day took place BEFORE there were Catholics. Go figure the blame.

Technically, the sabbath was never changed. The seventh day of the week is still the sabbath.
However, the first century church began to assemble together on the first day of the week, rather than the last. (indicated by Paul's Epistles.). It had to do with so many Jews who were following the teachings of Jesus, but still considered themselves Jews.
But the teachings on the sabbath had been turned upside down. Jesus taught that the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. A day of rest on the 7th day of the week is not necessarily a day that should be devoted solely to God. It was a day that man could rest as God did.
The law of First Fruits in the Old Testament reveal that the dedication of first fruits, tithing, worship etc, could be accomplished any day of the week, so why not first fruits on the first day?
Anyway, Sunday worship services are due to the tradition of the first century church to gather together on Sundays, rather than the Sabbath.

Yes, First of all the True sabbath was given to Israel Only, From 6:00pm Friday to 6:00 pm Saturday, They that kept the sabbath was not even allowed to cook any food on the sabbath, they had to do all things like cooking, washing , If you are a Pastor, then you shoul know the laws, Sabbath means REST, Do you think when God Created this world in 6 days (6000) yrs. & he rested on the 7th, that God was completely worn out? NO, God never wears out, That 7th day God Rested was a type of the Millinnium, or the 1000 yrs, Christ will rule & reign with his Bride on this earth Now when Jesus came along, Many of the Jews try to condem Jesus because he healed people on the sabbath, He pluck Corn on the Sabbath, Do you think that God will send His own Son here to Break God's laws, & then Jesus be offered up for a perfect sacrifice for our sins. NO. So if any one is going to actually keep a certain day, then they also have to keep all the other things too, no cooking your meals on the Sabbath. Now our rest is in Jesus Christ if we have the Holy Ghost. Now go to the New Testament, we see the Apostles & even Jesus going to the temple on the sabbath, why, is it to keep the sabbath, NO, Because Jesus already went against the Old Testament law by plucking corn on the sabbath & healing the sick on the sabbath. Jesus even told them would ye not go & get your Ox if it was in a ditch on the sabbath, Oh, Oh, another law broke. Jesus did not do away with the law, But in Jesus was all the laws, Jesus fulfilled the law. Now go to 1st Cor. 16:1-2 Now we know Apostle Paul was an Apostle to the Gentiles, This is what Paul said about the Christains, Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I Have given order to the churches Of Galatia even so do ye. Upon the FIRST day of the week let every one(NOT JUST SOME) But EVERYONE of you lay by him in store as God hath proppered him, That there be no gatherings(OR COLLECTIONS) when I come. Now go to Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore JUDGE YOU IN MEAT, OR IN DRINK, OR IN RESPECT, OF AN HOLYDAY, OR OF THE NEW MOON, OR OF THE SABBATH DAYS.17: Which are a Shadow of the things to come But the Body is of Christ. Now the reason the 12 Apostles went to the temple on Saturday was they knew that is where all the Jews will be at, But when Grace came along, & Jesus fulfilled that law of the Old Testament, Then Paul knew that the Christains would be in the temple on the FIRST day of the week.Signifying the ressurrection of Christ. So our TRUE REST is in JESUS, Didn't Jesus say, I will give you REST, He did NOT SAID I WILL GIVE YOU A SABBATH. So our rest is in Jesus with us having that promise of Eternal Life if We have the Holy Ghost, And our True sabbath will be when we rule & reign with Christ for 1000 yrs.

It is clearly recorded in the history of the Roman catholic dult that they changed the day of worship and rest to Sunday. This was done as a demonstration of there power... clearly recorded and taught in there history... many popes have stated that if one is not of the Roman "church"cult, and still believes in The Bible. that they should keep the Saturday Sabbath...as the 4th commanment was not voided by the Roman decree...The protestants who seperated from the RCs kept the Sunday but had to invent other reasons for keeping it... it varies a bit from one denomination to another... but mainly because that was the day Christ rose from the tomb...Not a valid reason in my opinion...
While I do not agree with the Seventh Day Adventists they do have a boolet available on the issue... and it documents the statements I have made... I just can not remember the name of it... theygive them away to any who ask to you could contact them about it...just do not fall for the rest of there "different" interpretations...

No, because it was never changed from Saturday. The Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar. The sabbath starts at sundown on Friday and continues until sundown on Saturday. Christians chose to change their day of rest to the first day of the week to commemorate the ascension of Jesus.
Christians are no longer required to observe any of the 613 commandments.

Do you have any proof that in the begining that it was on Saturday. No you don't see the Sabbath is just a day of rest what day of the week it falls on is not really important but how you spend that time.
People have a tentancey to make a religion out off everything.
If your mule or your car gets stuck in the mud on Sunday or Saturday don't wait until Moday to get it out.
God is not going to strike you dead it you get it out Satruday or Sunday, do what you have to do then give thanks to the Lord for being able to do it.

As you know, the principle of the day of rest goes back to God's covenant with Abraham. However, it was the Catholics who established the day as Sunday. The use of Sunday as a change from Saturday was established very early, but far before Constantine. I believe they use several early references to establish this tradition, but they are apparently extra-Biblical: Jesus Himself celebrated the Saturday Sabbath as did Paul.
It is Justin Martyr in the early second century who is most quoted for establishing the tradition of Christians meeting on Sunday. Although Ignatius is also used, the accuracy of the work is highly suspect. many people believe the text has been adulterated. Justin Martyr was motivated to distance Christians from the Jews. There is distinct anti-Semitism in his writings, but whether fair or not, I leave to history. However, there is no doubt that historically, each side was intentionally needling the other whenever possible. I leave the righteousness of this issue to those who would like to bash each other over the head in the name of God being on their side.
Sunday became associated with the Lord's Day by about 180 CE. No doubt Sunday as the Sabbath was reinforced by Eusebius, albeit based on incorrect interpretation of historical documents in evidence, but Constantine, then a pagan, no doubt felt it convenient to continue Sunday as the official day of God's celebration, when he became a Christian.
Interestingly enough, in the early 1890's, a Catholic bishop took Protestants to task on why, if they followed Biblical teachings alone (sola scriptura) they were celebrating Sunday as the Sabbath. The Catholics freely acknowledge that they established Sunday as a tradition, but the argument is that Protestants ought not to accept that tradition of the Catholic faith.
Most modern arguments for the Sabbath being Sunday quote Paul in his exhortation to cleanse ourselves of ritual traditions. The Jews opposed him on these things (Acts 15) but Paul did not intend to "make void the law through faith." (Romans 3:31) Unfortunately, I think that this tradition has been incorrectly promulgated. Nevertheless, it is most important for someone to be keeping the Sabbath on one day, rather than not at all.
Lastly, it is incorrect to assume that Jesus died on Friday and rose from the dead on Sunday. Even as a child, I could never understand how Jesus could have died on Friday, spent three days buried and then have been resurrected on Sunday: although out of the scope of this statement, it is somewhat clear to modern scholars that there is enough Biblical evidence to state conclusively that He had the Last Supper on Tuesday, was crucified dead and buried on Wednesday and spent 3 days in the grave, as per scriptures, and then rose on Saturday. See below for a better argument on that issue.
