My daughter's socks are so tight around her little ankles that they leave indentations. I've tried everything in the way of stretching, and they just snap back into place. Does anyone know of any sock brands that are a little looser in the ankles?

Jeez!! Stop telling me to buy a bigger size! I'm not a dumba**! If i buy a bigger size, then her feet won't fill out the foot part and I can't fit the socks in her shoes!

I absolutely love Old Navy's socks!! They are durable, loose around the ankles but stay up well, and they have the rubber tread on the soles so the kiddos don't slip and fall in their sock feet. My son has very few socks in his drawer that are not Old Navy, they're the best.

My son had 'chubby' legs and would always get those marks on his ankles. My solution was to buy a little larger size in the 'crew' style. Then I was able to pull the sock over his foot as far as I needed (the heals would usually be up by his ankle area) but then I'd fold down the top ribbed part over itself to make it a little more snug - so they'd look more like ankle socks instead of crew socks. The socks stayed in their place. When he got a little older, the chubby legs disappeared and then the crew socks fit just fine. Just my 2 cents!

The only thing you need to do is to buy her bigger socks.
"wonder kids" socks are most of the time a little looser around the ankles. When you buy the socks, make sure they are not too tight.

I would buy her socks a little bigger than her size. Better to be a little big than too tight.

Every brand is different in the amount of elasticity. Hanes are good...look for S or XS sizes in the girls department. I think they start at the shoe size 6Toddler.
Also, they are a little pricier, but Gap's socks are great too.

I would suggest trying another brand. I usually buy Hanes everthing for my sons. Boy socks are always better than girls. My sister buys boys socks for her girls (9 and 7) I would also suggest buying boy socks if you are going to put them under some pants. I hope that helps.

I had the same problem with my kds and embarrasing to say even though I am not overweight I get them myself!! I found that when you moved a size up they slipped off easier--personally my kids were always barefoot inside or when it was cold out I got the little bedroom shoes for them. It looks like it would hurt them but I think they are fine!!

Well, companies sell toddler stuff by age so get your daughter some socks for toddlers older than her. She's probably just growing up fast.

You are probably using cotton socks. Change to some other kind which stretch more readily. Those all-cotton socks are seriously overrated and do shrink when washed and get tighter and tighter.
