thats really nice but why dont u send the stamps to someone who is overseas fighting for out country???

For the people who think this is a stupid idea - until you've been there... don't judge. Inmates are PEOPLE too. They have feelings. A prison is like a small community - you have to pay for things just like on the outside. You only make 10 cents an hour, and still have to pay for your extra food, STAMPS, stationary, school stuff...ect. This is a GREAT idea. An inmate somewhere will be BLESSED by the gesture. If it's his/her desire to help an inmate, then so be it. It's been laid on his/her heart to help them, not a military person, or anyone else. Remember, not everyone is in jail because they went out and killed someone. Everyone makes mistakes. I often hear the saying from inmates "the only difference between you and me is that I was caught, you weren't." And honestly, for the most case, that is SO true. Remember that.

I think you are being foolish. What kind of a person decideds to "help" god-knows-who in prison? Are you crazy???? If you want to help some, don't gamble with some criminal. Help a soldier or a Katrina victim. Don't be stupid enough to start something, while pretending you're only "helping"- which is a lie- you want your little romantic fantasy of some prisoner writing to you don't you? After all, if you send him stamps, he'll have to thank you (using a stamp) and then it's not like he can get any other women, so you'll have someone to consider himself "lucky" to have you.

That's such a lovely, generous thing to do... Some states don't allow stamps, but I know California and Montana do.
