Tastes like chicken..lol
Seriously, it is a rather nasty fish, but tastes good....Hard to skin it unless you know what you're doing.

I don't like it. Catfish are bottom dwellers, so they eat whatever remains are on the bottom of the sea. Catfish has a dirty taste to it, so I don't like it at all. Plus, I'm Seventh-Day Adventist, and according to the Bible, any sea dwelling that doesn't have scales is unclean to eat. There are better fish out there. Salmon, tuna, mahi mahi, halibut and red snapper are some great tasting fish. Try those instead. Happy cooking!

Very! Fried Chanel Catfish is the best. Golden brown with cheese grits, slaw, french fry's, dough boys, and of course a tall glass of iced tea. A meal fit for any king or queen. Try it you will like it and it won't bite back. And its white meat.

You don't have to be from the south. Catfish is great in Wisconsin on traditional Friday night fishfrys.

Wonderful! Catfish is a light, not very "fishy" fish.
Breaded or battered and deep fried in vegetable or peanut oil.

Yes it iis certainly very good, nd if you don't nkow that it is you certainly aren't from the south. In my proffessional opinion fried is the best way to eat it, unless it's seasoned very well and grilled or blackened...It's good any way you eat it.
