My daughter is going through this phaze the last week in a half; she is waking up around the same time every night screaming she see's a man in my room and there is nothing there. Last year, when we moved into the house, we suspected that there was some type of spirit living in the house (I know it sounds crazy). Well it has been about nine months since we had any occurance. (None of this we made mention to my daughter). However, I am begining to notice things moved, out of place, turning up after being lost for 6 months. I myself have been having problems sleeping or waking up around the same time every night. Could this be something manifested in our imaginations; or am I over reacting. My daughter is only 5 years old just started Kindergarten. Do, you think she may be stressed in this new situation. I never had problems putting her to bed with the lights out. Now she insists, that she wants the lights on or she wants to sleep with us in our room? I am worried.

FYI, I do not let my child watch anything that is not G rated. She is not allowed to watch anything that depicts violence.

Children up to the age of six are still attached to the spirit world with their being. They can see things before we can. Then their skulls develop further and close for good, in the physical sense, an extra layer is formed from the age of six and onwards. Then children start to develop their own personality and the first years are forgotten. I wouldn't call your child crazy at all. I believe in restless spirits and haunting. There are too many stories. Maybe you could study the history of the house to see who once lived there.

Yes there could be a problem.... but try this:The hour to 30 minute before a child goes to sleep is very important.... talk to her during that time... my Mom got me to stop having night mares by talking to me about my day and then giving me something to try and dream about, right before I went to sleep .... (it worked for my cousin as well when he lived with us for a month)

If that doesn't work ... we had a problem with being afraid to be at home alone, because things like feeling a cold hand on your shoulder and finding no one there... So we had a priesthood blessing on the house, it never happened again.

small children can see things others can not... maybe the house does have a spirit.. however, even if it is nothing, it's real to her. Keep the lights on if that soothes her fears.

I believe in ghosts and spirits. You should call for help. But not the Ghostbusters. Ok maybe the Ghostbusters. But you should definitely get help.
